The filters do not have the plastic bottom. They are a bit smaller than the ones with plastic. But for the bargain price, you get what you pay for. Fast shipping, product as pictured and described.

UPDATE: filters work great in Parner flower fountain
3 of the close up filter pictures show the compartments filled with the filtering material. I received these filters and they only contain a very small packet of the materials in each of the 4 compartments. Not worth the money! Overdue for replacing the one in the fountain so had to open the package -- not happy! UPDATE: It's been two weeks and I cleaned the fountain. I'm giving the filters a 5 star up from a 1 because this is the cleanest the fountain has been in the one plus year I've owned it. Other brands didn't fit well enough and/or had green algae, pink, and brown stuff growing in the whole unit after a week. Usually a 20 minute clean with vinegar and small tools. This time I washed off the filter and refilled the tank -- no guck! That's worth a 5 star even with the deceiving pictures.
