Rhode Island Novelty 8.5 Inch Mini Pump Air Horn, One per Order

It was difficult to set up at first but once we figured it out it was very easy to use. It really does provide endless, annoying, shrill, air horn noises which is exactly what we wanted.

The write up says "Pump it up for a loud sonic boom!" but it sounds more like an anemic squeak. I can get more sound from pinching the neck of a deflating balloon--plus, it falls apart while you're trying to use it! The write up also says it's a "Smaller version of the original Super Blast Air Horn." If that is true then don't buy that one either, because it would probably just be a bigger version of this piece of junk.

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the other reviews, as there always those who demand thirty dollar quality from a five dollar item. Yes, it is not built like a Sherman Tank, and thank goodness for that, but it sure does belt out quite a blast. One need only be a little conscious of it's weakest link, that being the joint between horn and can. I'm using it to scare coyotes when they get too close to me when I'm out in the desert stargazing. No, really. That's true. And it's already done the job twice. Nice, too, that it works on air.

I bought this for my three year old niece. The horn looked and sounded fine, but wasn't very functional for a child. There is a reasonably strong spring in it that pushes out the handle that needs to over come along with generating enough pressure to get the full effect. Other kids ranging up to about 10 also had problems operation the device with any consistency. It also has some kind of locking mechanism that keeps the handle in (spring loaded) after every use that the kids had problems with. I construction of the air horn looked fine for adults but wan't going to last wrong with frustrated kids. When it did work the kids loved it and got big grins from the birthday girl. For the price everything was fine but I was disappointed that it made a terrible kids gift. As people continue to invite me to children parties I will continue to buy loudest, messiest, disruptive, and educational gifts I can find. Unfortunately, This air horn will not make a repeat.

I guess I could say I got what I paid for, but not even. The horn is extremely destructible, especially at the joint between the horn and the can. The sound is makes sounds like cars scraping together; it is extremely sharp and high pitched and raspy, not what you really want, or at least what I wanted. I needed an airhorn for a school project.....I am screwed now, because there is no more time to order another.

It really doesn't do much, but it's working for what I want, TURKEYS! They do not like it and they move on! It not very loud or ong sound, but it does the job for me. 4 star because of the lack of umph.

This is a manually pumped air horn. The pump is similar to the little ones used to inflate basketballs or footballs. It is EXTREMELY loud and I would buy this over a canned air one any time I need an air horn. Far better than expected.

Save your money, this isn't worth it. It doesn't sound anything like an airhorn, it sound more like an 18-wheeler's tires screeching and slamming on the brake. It is definitely loud though. Pay the few extra bucks for a good airhorn

it is super mini, and very cheaply made, not worth the money.

Bad product. Does this annoying whistle that is as far from a horn as can be. Total trash.

It turns out this product produces no more than a loud high pitch squeal. It's not even worth pushing the plunger.
