Ideus 16oz Insulated Coffee Mug with Handle & Lid (Jellyfish Red, Fuji Dawn)

This is a lovely, well balanced cup, perfect for a brew. The drink stays warm for hours, which is good as I am a bugger for making a brew and forgetting it in the kitchen. The lid is nice and secure so transport is very easy without leakage has now been a problem so far. The inside of the mug is stain resistant which is good because I like my tea and coffee strong enough to remove the silver off a spoon. There is no metallic aftertaste which can happen with some cups of this nature and the grip is secure and feels very strong.. Very good value for money and it looks very smart.

I broke my neck in a horse riding accident when I was 19 which left me paralysed and with limited hand dexterity. I used to drink a lot of tea before my accident but afterwards I couldn't hold most mugs, either because they were awkward to hold or I'd burn my hand on them. I've bought a LOT of different mugs since my accident that were designed for disabled people but they were all useless or just OK. I don't make hot drinks myself as I've often burned my hand when using the kettle, so someone else makes hot drinks for me. I bought 2 of these 4 years ago, and they're the best mugs I've ever had. The handle is a good size so they're easy to hold. The outside of the mug stays cool even with burning hot tea in them. The lid is easy to put on. After filling the mug with a hot drink, the best way to put the lid on is to open the sliding part, place the lid securely on the mug then let out a bit of steam, then close the slider over. That way, the steam doesn't push the lid up, which can be dangerous as the steam is hot. They need to be kept upright all the time as they're not leak proof. If they fall, there's a good chance the lid will come off. So I wouldn't use them as travel mugs. The slider on the lid is easy to slip back so you can drink through the hole. It's also a substantial size, and I find I can drink without any liquid spilling out. Though I usually take the lid off completely when I'm ready to drink from them. These mugs keep tea, which is made with boiling water hot for 2 hours. After that, it starts to cool down When it's used for cold drinks, it keeps them icy cold for several hours, longer if there's ice cubes in them. I drink tea out of both mugs four times a day. I drink it black so the mug gets stained inside. It comes off if you give it a hard scrub but I find the best way to clean them is to put a small amount of bleach in them, fill them up with water, leave for a few hours and rinse thoroughly. The only reason I'm back buying another two mugs is because lately, I've dropped both lids and ran over them with my wheelchair and broke them. I bought 2 grey mugs the first time but I've now got a lovely pink and a mottled blue. There is a really good range of colours. The mugs are a really good size. They last for years unless you run over them like I did! They're a really good price compared to most insulated mugs I've bought or seen. If I can use them with limited movement in my fingers, then I'm sure any other disabled person looking at these mugs could use them too. They're perfect for everyone So I'd highly recommend them.

Love it. Its bigger than I expected but thats fine and it means a bigger cup of tea so who can complain at that. Well made and looks really good too. I love how the top slides so easily. Keeps your drink hot or cold. Definitely recommend x

Hot red maybe. This is the second one of these I’ve ordered. I ordered orange for autumn, I wanted one for Christmas. Unfortunately, the red is not red. It’s like a gradient between orange and pink. The lid does leak, but I have not had an insulated mug with a lid that doesn’t leak at least a little. My yeti mug doesn’t even close completely; the drinking hole is uncovered. The benefit of the lid for me is being able to carry the mug without sloshing. That said, when this lid is closed, the hot liquid likes to bubble out a little bit. That’s true of other brands I’ve bought as well. It does keep my tea warm, even really hot, for a very long time as long as the lid is on, and even if the lid is open. Once the lid is off, all bets are off. I can see why people are concerned about the sturdiness of the handle, but I have had no problems with it. Also, because the texture is not slippery, I’m able to easily pick up a full mug by the cup and not the handle despite the tapered shape, and I have weak hands! I love the texture on the outside. I also love that this is on the larger side of insulated mugs. It seems like all of the coffee-cup-shaped mugs hold so little!

Great mugs, pink it lovely, and keeps bugs out of your cuppa when outside. I also have had coffee I’ve left in it for half the day and overnight, in the morning it was still fine, true story. Amazing to drink from and keep drinks hot! Excellent choice.

Mine is stored in the fridge all day long to cool it down, then used all night long for my cider. It works a treat. Keeps my drinks cool for ages where a glass vessels will acclimatise quickly. I just love this mug.

Very disappointing quality. The mug leaked while I was using it, spilling coffee and staining my white trousers. It is not suitable for carrying drinks and I would not recommend it.

Best mug ever keeps your drink hot for sooo long - really great purchase

I have bought and wasted so much money over the years trying different insulated coffee mugs and I have finally found one that actually works and works well. I never use the plastic lid as I don't use this as a travel mug, just a normal mug. I just wanted a coffee mug that keeps my coffee hot, from start to finish, as I like my coffee hot. This does just that, better than any other insulated mug I have bought. The outside never gets hot, so you can hold it by the handle or the body without any issue, whilst the liquid inside stays hot, just like I want it to. Perfect

Great looks good works well doubt it would keep hot for eight hours but I’ll never put it to that test.
