## Description

Jolie Clear Finishing Wax is a non-hazardous, non-yellowing, and odor-free wax designed to seal and protect interior furniture, cabinetry, and home accessories. It can be used on raw or stained wood, as well as over painted finishes. The wax creates a soft matte sheen that can be buffed to a subtle polish if desired. To apply, work in small sections (approximately 2–3 feet at a time), using a wax brush or soft cloth to gently work the wax into the surface. Remove excess wax using medium pressure with a clean, absorbent, lint-free cloth. For large surfaces: After waxing and wiping each section, apply a thin coat across the entire piece to even out the finish. For added durability, apply at least two coats, allowing 8 hours of dry time between each. To achieve a more polished look, let the final coat dry for 1–2 hours before buffing with a soft cloth. Allow the finish to cure fully over two weeks, during which time surfaces should be handled gently. For interior use only. Do not apply additional protective topcoats after using this wax.

**Q: Can this be used over latex paint and if the latex paint is gloss will it look matte after applied?**
A: Yes, the wax can be used over latex paint. Buffing the wax is what makes it shiny, the wax has a naturally matte finish so apply it, wipe off the excess and just let it cure for a couple of weeks. Buffing the wax is what makes it shiny.

**Q: Can you use this over a wood stain?**
A: Yes. This wax is very easy to work with. If you need to see how it works on wood look up Annie Sloan was on wood on utube. This wax however will not protect surfaces from long periods of standing water. I have covered coffee tables and side tables with it but always advise to protect by using a coaster and wipe dust with a dry clean cloth.

**Q: Can I use it for my stairs steps?**
A: No, we do not recommend our Jolie Finishing Wax for floors. You can create a brown "wax" look by doing a Wash or Dry Brush Finish with our Truffle or Espresso Jolie Paint, then seal with the Floor Varnish. **Q: Can this paint be used on fabric furniture?**

By far Jolie waxes upstages the competition by price and quality I love the black wax I use it on all sorts of pieces not just for chalk paint either you can use this wax on any surface with any finish it’s easy to use get your clear on first i mix this one with white to make a grey use it pure black for my antique looks ( not a fan of brown anywhere but have used the browns before just not my decor choice) and to just give something dimension or if I want to darken a paint that I bought that looked one way but dried another it’s the best !!

I have never used a black decorative wax before so I was so nervous about using this, but I had a look in mind for my armoire and this surpassed my expectations! I thought it was expensive for the size when I received it, however when I used it I realized the price for the size is great because a little goes a long way! Its so buttery and easy to use. If you make a mistake while applying it, it's easy to clean off anf fix. When its completely dry, it hardens to creates a very durable finish. The picture is of my armoire I painted with white chalk paint and rubbed black Jolie finishing wax in the crevices to create the look, the picture is taken after finishing the paint and suing the armoire for 4 months.
