Bought this as a gift. Excellent quality, Eeasy to use, easy to clean & more than enough for 4 ppl. I was initially worried bc of the reviews that said it didn't get hot enough/wattage too low (i like my soups molten), but it comes right up to a boil (especially with the lid on). We did not try using the griddle yet, bc my husband was worried it would smoke (like the one at the restaurant), but i suspect it won't get that hot - next time! My only quibble is that i found the stove top instructions a little confusing: Is it ok to use the pot on a gas stove top, or not? I gather the grill pan is a hard no. I thought i got this on sale, but do not think so now - so check your cart/price b4 you hit place order.

I would like to give this product a 5 stars but it came used even though we ordered it new. Was really looking forward to using it. Getting a replacement though. Will come back to an updated review. Update* Amazon has sent me a replacement. Hands down the best Hot Pot Skillet combo.

Just love this skillet. The brand is very good for all electronics and we replace our rice cooker with the same brand. Have used this hot pot and it was great for a hot pot dinner, easy to clean and is an adequate size. Looking forward to more hot pot meals in the future. Very happy with this purchase.

It’s a great size for 2-4 people and fits a small dining table. We didn’t use any extension cord and felt that the base is safe enough to place on our white wood table (with a heatproof pad underneath) during the cooking process. It stayed cool even when the hotpot was simmering/boiling and when we did the grilling too. It’s also sturdy yet easy to setup and cleanup is a breeze. For a quicker process, we placed the hotpot pan on the stove then transferred it back on the base once the water started boiling. We cooked the hotpot dishes on the table. Afterwards, we did the grilling. The only thing is that there is nowhere for the oil to runoff so we just used paper towels to dab the oil off. No biggie. If you do hotpot or grilling often enough, it can justify the cost in the long run. It looks like it will last long and will withstand wear and tear. A great investment overall.

The Zojirushi Yin Yang Hot Pot is the perfect size for 2-4 people. The center divider allows for two different types of soup for the hot pot. The temperature control was easy to use and was able to bring the soup back up to boil in no time after we put in the ingredients. The pot was easy to clean after use. Unlike some reviews that the bottom of my pot is still looks new after use. Not sure why some reports that it turned black, maybe they use it on an open flame? Will try the grill when the weather is warmer so I can use it out door, don't want to set off the smoke detectors in the house..LOL

Very convenient. Well made Japanese product as always with high quality sourced materials. For hotpot, always pre-boil your stock on the stovetop before putting it in for quicker start-up. We find that getting the skillet to a boiling point can take some time. We are happy with this purchase.

Very nice pot, great for hot pot in a winter day, better than the portable stove solution we used before.

It’s good for hotpot and continent

I really like this pot! The size is just perfect for a family-size gathering of 3 to 6 and functionality is simple. The device looks elegant and has been part of a few great hot pots already. Looking forward to using it for a long time to come.

Awesome electric skillet good for frying and hotpot! I was able to heat up my hotpot within 10-15min to full boil. Be careful about twisting the skillet with the electric stovetop as the stovetop skillet scratches easily. I was able to bring it camping and cabins. When the water boils even with food in the pot does not steam up the room! Overall very happy with my purchase. Only negative thing I can say about it is that it is a bit bigger then I expect.
