Ordered a box of the chocolate emergency bars to test them out. They arrived in perfect condition and are packaged extremely well - a box within a box, each tab wrapped in very heavy foil (vacuumed) and a polyethylene wrapper on the bar as well. Almost packaged too good if that is possible. Opened one of the bars for a taste/texture taste and three of us sampled the bar. The taste was very good and the texture as well. I ordered three more boxes of them. This is a Chinese company from the 1960's making these bars - probably for the PLA army but Oh well, I need them for my supplies.

I purchased these Emergency Food Rations Meal Ready To Eat kits mainly for emergency preparedness and overall I’m happy with them, but the packaging during shipping definitely needs improvement. Several of the cans arrived dented, and a couple of the lids had partially come loose inside the box, which was disappointing to see for products meant for long-term storage and emergency use. That said, the actual food variety and convenience are still good for building an emergency supply. I like having shelf-stable meals available for power outages, camping, or backup food storage, and the portions are decent for the purpose. Most of the items were easy to prepare and tasted better than expected for emergency-style meals. I would strongly recommend the company improve the packaging protection during shipping because damaged cans are a serious concern for this type of product. However, aside from the shipping issues, I still think this is a useful emergency food option to keep on hand for preparedness situations.

These ration bars taste quite good, they are quite crumbly and dry, but adding this to your emergency stock is useful as more of a tide over between your large freeze dried meals. The packaging is quite tough, I keep one in my backpack for if I need a snack and there are no rips or tears after months of standby.

Well the texture is pretty much like chalky peanut dust and as dry as the Sahara desert 🏜️ about the size of a credit card. Definitely peanuty flavor. This is the first time I’ve purchased this type of product but the quality looks great overall. I’ll have to check out the coconut flavor ones next.

Tightly individually wrapped energy bars. They came in a nice metal container that unfortunately is wide open on the top with the lid missing. Consequently, a sealed container will need to be acquired for long term storage to prevent any compromise of the food by mice or other varmints. Note: As an addendum to the initial review, after making note of the initial packaging deficiency to Amazon, a replacement was immediately sent and arrived in tact, so all is good.

Great to take hiking

I opened one of these to see what it was like. It has a mild chocolate flavour that I didn't dislike at all but it wasn't something that I'd want to scoff either. Exactly what I would want in an emergency food. The pack has 12 vacuum foil packs and each has 2 bars in clear plastic. Total weight is 1.6 kg. It's very compact at about the same size as a kilo of flour, about 18cm x 12cm x 12cm. I bought it on a deal so it worked out about $16/kg, which is about the same as a lot of packs of cereal. For me it's just great to have something very shelf stable to keep in the car or a bag or whatever for times when you might need it.

Et comme à l'apéritif, un verre ne sera pas de trop après s'être repu de ces biscuits. Ils ne sont pas trop secs et très bien emballés (emballage plastique fin sur la barre, et un deuxième type étain qui est lui sous vide) La boîte est sympa, et à sûrement évité certains coups aux biscuits pendant la livraison.
