Does this work with laptops?

I think you might have to be creative. If you can get the right size for you lap top screen, the arms might work ok. The bottom arms would be the problem, but they don't actually hook, only the top arms do. I wonder if the tilt of the lap top screen might present a problem. I purchase them for employees in an office setting, that use regular monitor screens.

how do you measure computer screen for this product

Same as any TV..right tip corner to bottom left corner..but I dont think this product is good..I returned it

Does this fit a standard monitor or widescreen monitor?

I used the monitor magnifier when I was between cataract surgeries. It fit my monitor (at that time I had a standard size one). I now have a widescreen monitor and I just put it up against the larger monitor. It is about 1-1/2 inches less in width. You could still use it, but it worked perfectly on the standard size one.
