Hookaroon for everyone splitting wood
Wicing Hookaroon is an extremely well made excellent tool for anyone in the wood splitting arena either as a homeowner or commercially! This tool is designed to if used correctly save time and reduce bending and ultimately back strain and or injury. The color makes it stand out so at the end of day I can quickly locate and secure it away to prevent loss or theft ! Used for moving and relocating pieces of wood during the splitting process that are just out of reach reducing the need for worker to overextend while repositioning heavy pieces of wood โฆ I own this tool use this tool love this tool ! This hookaroon is an excellent gift for someone who splits wood and should last a lifetime

So far, perfect and a great value
Only have a couple of hours of use of this hookaroon so far. Used it while splitting about half a cord of wood. It made a huge difference on my back and how long I was able to split. It's a bit clumsy with larger rounds (weighing > 30 to 40lbs). For those, I typically have to steady and support the round with my off hand. For smaller pieces, it works perfectly. So much less bending! Mine arrived perfectly sharp for the task. I found the handle ergonomic. A couple of times, where I swung less than accurately, I got some vibration back to my hand. But that's user error, not a tool issue. I've wrapped the area under the head with some nylon cord (1/8" cord I think) to help reduce the chance of damage from an overstrike. I'll update with a longer term review as I continue to use it.

Great tool
Purchased two of these as I have a lot of trees on my property that come down throughout winter storms and I spend all summer cutting and clearing them. It's comfortable in the hand, not too heavy and works well to aid in lifting logs that my back wouldn't normally allow me to get low enough to left. Using 1 I can hit the end of a log and drag it to the stack or I can use 1 on each end and easily lift the logs to wagon height. Handle feels great and doesn't seem like if you used it for hours that it would cause blisters.

Wasted money and time in the woods
Total junk. Won't stick in the wood esp in the winter. It's the dumb angle of it from the looks of it. Even looks off in the pictures and even worse in person. Who ever made this never actually used it in the woods and if so they are goofy.

Definitely not Fiskars quality, some shortcomings, but...
Think of this as a lower quality, lower ergonomic alternative to the higher priced Fiskars logging tools. Number one: it's much heavier than it needs to be for most applications, though very hard or dense wood might call for the greater kinetic energy for penetration. Since I am used to a longer Fiskars hookaroon, this tool calls for a different handling approach. That excess weight means extra work when dragging or lifting wood and dangerous momentum if you miss a hit. It also means that the heavier swing needed can tend to pull this out of your hand, and though the handle is "decent" it isn't curved in such a way as to discourage slipping, esp when you are fatigued. Not a bad handle but lacks proper ergonomic design (proper curve at the bottom end). Number two: The advertising claims "forged steel." That's dubious. The head is a low quality steel, unlike the durable stainless used in the Fiskars alternatives, and that probably means using extra material (and weight) to make up for lower durability steel. Number three: though the spike will embed in most soft wood with enough force, it is frankly too thick at the tip and not sharp enough. That spike end is probably 20 percent too thick. A minute or two of judicial grinding can solve that shortcoming. Your grinding will reveal how soft the steel is. Summary: for the price and lower-end Chinese quality, it's an OK cost-benefit tradeoff. You can grind a better spike profile if you know what you are doing. And be careful how you swing this thing since a slight miscalculation could sink that spike into the middle of your shin.

Very useful wood handling tool.
Very useful wood handling tool. Recommended for anyone who heats with wood. Well balanced, good handle design, and very comfortable to use. Well made; should last a long time. Liked that it's made in American Samoa, not Asia. For best results file the pick to a sharp point.

Very handy help for an oldtimer
This is a very handy tool for an oldtimer that still uses a chainsaw to cut up fallen trees on his property. Bending down to pick up each roughly 12" long log slice is a pain. With this tool you can just whack one end of the log piece with the pointy of the tool and pick the piece of wood up. I was very pleased with the help this tool provided me.
