Amazing results after just one use
My family and I recently located from a city with great water to one with very hard well water. After one year of washing my natural, locked hair in this water, I started to see the nasty whitish mineral buildup in my beautiful locks and started researching ways to remove the buildup that was discoloring my hair. I'd used clarifying shampoos but they made not a bit of difference. After doing more research, I found that I needed to do two things: 1) Improve the water. I purchased a shower filter (Auxoda 10-Stage Universal Shower Filter with 2 Replaceable Filter Cartridge - Removes Chlorine, Impurities & Sulfur Odor) from Amazon. This improved the feel and smell of the shower water immediately. You've got to improve the water otherwise nothing you do will work. (Amazon sells several really good ones.) 2) Use a CHELATING shampoo: Chelating shampoos are considerable stronger than clarifying shampoos because they strip the hair shaft of whatever is built up on it, especially the heavy minerals and buildup from hard water. There are a few really good chelating shampoos on the market based on reviews but I decided to go with this Hairprint because even though it's a chelating shampoo, it's all natural plant based. It also has the one potent ingredient that gives chelating shampoos their power: EDTA. After one use, my hair was brighter and lighter. The white patches of build up that was making me so sad virtually disappeared. There is still a couple of areas that I need to focus on but the majority of it is gone. Because I have locks, you can really see the difference in my before and after pictures. The before was taken a couple of weeks ago after my daughter walked in the room and asked me, "Why do you have white stripes on your hair." If you look closely, you'll see the white patches in my locks. This is not a shampoo you should use everyday. It is very drying so it's important to follow up with a good conditioning treatment (I also purchased a Hairprint conditioner which I really liked.) It's low suds and has no fragrance. I plan on using it once weekly until my problem is solved and then perhaps every 2 weeks or monthly. Its expensive for the size but I'm so pleased with the results, the cost was well worth it. Highly recommend and will buy again.

so as not to waste product on greasy hair
i know it’s pricey, but as a vegan i am very efficient and minimalist and desire be less “fussy” and low maintenance by living clean. I keep my body clean and clip my own hair, so paying for a treatment for myself isn’t that much of a stretch for luxury. When it comes to hair, it’s your crown and the self esteem from it feeling healthy and strong is priceless. I hadn’t washed my hair in a week, so i washed with vegan shampoo and then used this, so as not to waste product on greasy hair. i knew what to expect,i massaged it in and left it for about a minute then rinsed. I used no other product. My hair is baby hair fresh! It’s me the way my hair is meant to be. I feel so clean and healthy. My hair is detoxed and full of texture, softness, volume, and the plant based ingredients make my feel Safe and support my lifestyle. I plan to use this once a month, the bottle could last me at least 6-8 months.

Great at removing buildup
This is like a reset button for my hair!!! It gets all the product build off my hair great! It’s a little pricey but you only have to use the tiniest bit to accomplish results!

Great shampoo, but also great prior to hair color / henna
I have been using this shampoo for about 3 years, mostly right before I color my hair (with henna). I have found that if I don't use this, the henna will not get taken up by the hair. Lately though, I have noticed how soft my hair is after use. It feels a little squeaky clean during the wash, but afterwards my hair is extra soft. I wasn't sure how to rate the scent/thickness because it really doesn't have a scent and it is kind of watery for the shampoo, but to me that is not a negative, so I didn't want to pull down the ratings for something that doesn't matter. Great product!

Good shampoo with natural ingredients but still harsh on hair
I purchased this product in hopes of restoring my dry and damaged hair as a result of chemicals and hard shower water. Before ordering this shampoo, I read through all the reviews to make sure it was what I wanted. Since most of the reviews were positive and hardly anything bad was said about it, I decided to take a chance and see if it would work for me. Having literally tried EVERYTHING from oil treatments to vitamins to all these expensive products in attempt to fix my damaged hair, I put a lot of faith into this hoping it would work as great as everybody said it did and for the huge price I paid for it. Furthermore, I also invested in a good water filter for my shower in order to prevent more hard water from building up in my hair (which I suspected was a big part of what was causing it to dry and fall out). Although both these things I believe have shown some improvement in the quality of my hair, it still feels really dry and clumpy after washing it unfortunately. Those like me who have badly damaged hair probably know what I'm talking about; it's like even after thoroughly and carefully washing your hair it's still as dry as the mojave desert and it all sticks together making it hard to comb through without breakage! Plus I am also using an all natural deep conditioning mask after shampooing my hair, which seems to help bring moisture back into it but at the same time I still feel like my hair is being stripped of all the good stuff that's supposed to keep it healthy. This brings me down to 3 possibilities: I am thinking either a) my shower filter is a piece of garbage b) this shampoo isn't right for me or c) I still need to give it more time. I am hoping that C is the answer to my problem, since I have only been using this product for about 3 or 4 weeks now; however I only wash my hair once a week so that means I've only used it about 3-4 times. Well I suppose that's my answer, therefore I guess I'll just continue using it as part of my usual routine and maybe update this review in the future if I notice anything different.

Works very well if....
First off I have longer white and grey hair, growing out my color after years of dying up to age 71. My hair had become very damaged and I became allergic with a rash on my scalp and hair falling out. I started using Hairprint 2 years ago and there was an immediate difference. First my rash went away and my hair was far more manageable. Second after some time I realized it was breaking off not falling out just normal thinning from age. I have made a study on how to get back my hair that I used to get so many compliments on. If you color or have grey or white hair your hair is most likely super dry and and frizzes easily, mine was. Enter marula oil and coconut oil. After reading an article on oils I found out coconut oil penetrates the hair shaft. So before washing I soak with coconut oil all day or marula oil which adds shine, so I use them alternately. I also invested in a shower filter it may help some. I have tried a lot of other products and spent a considerable amount money. Hairprint products are a little spendy but for me they work. All the other stuff loaded with chemicals and waxes just doesn't work for me any more. The only other brand I use is Davine's. So many things can go wrong with your hair from home coloring, diet, aging and sun damage to name just a few. It's hard to diagnose the exact problem or problems you may have. This is what worked for me.

Love it!!!
I never write reviews. This is in fact the first time I am doing it. I am just soooo greatful I stumbled across this shampoo. My hair is naturally black and I was blonde for about an year up to about 6 months ago. My hairdresser couldn’t figure out the way to correctly dye my hair, so I was constantly bleaching it... To the point, I just called the quits and dyed it black again at home because my hair was destroyed, gummy and breaking up. However, One of the things I could not get rid of was the fact that my hair felt like it was made out of leather, even after I was able to make it healthier, I just couldn’t get rid of that texture. My hair dresser used something that got into my hair and wasn’t going away after it was washed. It was some type of heavy build up residual that I though I would only get rid of by continually trimming my hair for years to come. That’s when a friend suggest giving a clarifying shampoo a chance but due to all the damage, I try to use natural products at the moment and that’s when I stumbled across this shampoo. The reviews about it mentioned hard water build up, which is not at all what my issue was but I figure I would still give it try. I went from skeptical to number one fan in one wash. Now, 2 washes in and my hair is starting to finally feel like well, hair again. I’m blown away and so happy. Now, it is not cheap but the investment paid off in my case.

Not happy AT ALL.
Let me first start out by saying, if I had taken the time to register the notion of an 8oz size prior to purchasing, I wouldn't have bought it. It is too expensive for the amount you get. But it's only a once weekly thing, so I was hoping it would last long if I only had to use a little... I just used it for the first time, 9 pumps for the first wash, no lather. Our water is very hard. I washed a second time (10 pumps this time), as recommended, and this time it did lather on the top of my scalp only, not on the sides, back, or through the ends. They still felt like clay. I think I'd have to use the whole bottle to cleanse and clarify my medium length hair, but I stopped after this and used an organic conditioner. Since I just received it and my hair is still wet, I will update my review in a month or so. I'm only giving 2 stars right now for size vs cost, the amount I have to use for benefits, and the ease of use. It does come with a locking pump, so that's nice. First Update: My hair is beginning to dry after my first use and it is thick, sticky and almost oily feeling close to my scalp on the sides as the back (where it did not lather), it almost feels like it did when I was still doing my "no poo" routine after moving into this house with hard water. I'm disappointed, if this is what it's going to feel like (unwashed and heavy) I could have stuck to my virtually free no poo ingredients of baking soda and water. One Month Update: Downgraded to 1 Star, I am requesting my money back. I never leave bad reviews but this has literally destroyed my hair. We even got a water softener in the past month, which probably still lets through a little iron (not enough to stain or smell) and this stuff is still worthless. It makes my hair feel even dirtier every time I've used it, and I only used it once/week or week & a half. In between using it, I used an organic shampoo and conditioner and my hair felt better. Then, when I used this again last night, I am left with a sticky, thick and dirty feeling mess at the roots and the ends are so dried out they look & feel like straw. Worst money spent in a long long time, very disappointed!
