Is this shampoo okay for Type 4 coils? My grey hair looks dull and I was told a purple shampoo would help.

I have thin blonde, but (when it's humid) frizzy hair. After coloring my hair, I got in the shower, rinsed out the dye & proceeded to wash my hair with #4P, to tone down the brassiness of the color. When I went to rinse the shampoo out, I couldn't believe how stiff & tangled my (chin length) hair was. I could barely get my fingers through my hair. I, then, put the conditioner on which I use every day. It is "Not Your Mother's" (purple). After leaving that one for a couple of minutes, I rinsed & got out. I was not too fond of the #4P but it did tone down the brassiness. I would look for a brand that removes the "yellow" from grey hair. It should give it some shine. Good luck.

Has anyone bought this 4P product recently? All the reviews seem to be a few years ago. Wondering if this is the real product?

This is! It doesn't take all the brass out of my hair but I do like it just as much as the rest of my olaplex products.
