I've been in the BIOS and I have tried everything, but no matter what I do I can't get it to overclock RAM faster than 2400Mhz and I have 3200Mhz capable RAM. Other than that this motherboard is solid in every other aspect. I bought this for a sibling since it was newer and cheaper. Worked great with an i3-7100. My personal computer has an Asus Z170i motherboard. It's not perfect either it came with a bad CMOS battery. I replaced it and it has worked great ever since. If the Asus Z270i was out I would probably buy it with a 7700k. Comparing Gigabyte and Asus motherboards side by side I think Asus is easier to use in the BIOS. You can easily overclock the processor and RAM in the BIOS without much effort. I also like some of the utilities the motherboard comes with like AISuite3 for a lot of control over your motherboard within Windows. Can update BIOS from it as well as adjust fan speed and fan curves. Nothing like that came with this board. There really isn't a performance benefit to choosing a motherboard. It is more for extra features and utilities as well as ease of use, so don't let me stop you from buying this board.
