If sewn onto a cotton shirt, are these washable?

I've only sewn them on coats but I assume so if sewn securely. However, I think they're too heavy (because of the magnets) for regular cotton shirts. I imagine they weight of them will cause tears in the fabric.

are these difficult to install?

Not difficult at all. They are sewn on using the openings on each corner.

how do i apply on leather?

I'm not the seller, but I would think you would pre-punch holes and attach. Then cover the top with something like a button. Just an idea, but I would do it that way.

What is the thickness and weight of these, each fastner pair?

For comparison, 2 USA dimes are 2.7 mm and weigh 4.6 g. So, a set of these is smaller in diameter but thicker than a couple of dimes, and weighs slightly less.
