I certainly don't doubt the ability of this device to cut or grind materials. It certainly seems to pack some power, much more so than bargain basement grinders I've used in the past. This grinder was much heavier than I expected. It would have been nice if it had a variable speed control. I wanted to pack it back into the box after I had used it as I don't expect to be using it again for a while. I couldn't get the guard removed and found it quite fiddly to put on originally.
