I’ve bought Angelica root a few times before, mostly the smaller broken pieces you commonly find on the market. After trying this one, I can honestly say it’s not even the same category. Those broken pieces now feel more like leftover scraps, while this is clearly a much higher-grade product. What really stood out to me is the attention to detail. The slices are large, thick, and uniform, not thin or brittle. They’re properly dried with no signs of moisture issues, mold, or dark spots. When I opened the package, the herbal aroma was immediately noticeable and filled the room, which gave me confidence in its freshness and overall quality. I’ve also tried a few products from Hee Creek before, and their quality has been consistently reliable. It feels like they have pretty strict standards for what they sell, and so far I haven’t been disappointed. If you’re looking for well-selected, high-quality Angelica slices, this one is definitely worth considering.

Earthy taste. If struggling with cold feet, this stuff really does help. After a few days of drinking this as a tea my cold feet went away.

I use it to make the apple, dates and Dong GUI soup to help the red cells to produce blood according to the TCM.

The product is not completely dry. It gives a sticky texture and it is very soft, not like normal dry traditional Chinese medicines. Also find mold on this piece

Herbs often used for making soup or soaking in water for drinking. It's very good for the body.

Every time after menstruation, it will be boiled with Angelica and other traditional Chinese medicine. It tastes good.You can save it and boiled second time still good.

It's hard to describe the taste of this angelica root tea but I'm going to try: it's mild if you use only one slice, with an earthy, woody flavour with just a hint of sweet undertone, not exactly like ginseng but a bit similar. Taken as a tea, steeped in hot water only, I find it soothing but it will definitely not be to everyone's taste. However, I think it can be a good ingredient in a savoury soup (like chicken or seafood soup) where its earthiness can balance out the saltiness of the broth. I will not attest to its medical properties but many do believe it is a healing herb.

Received haven't opened yet as I have to finish old ones first. Looks like natural Angelica roots color but don't see any label marked organic .

These look and taste higher quality than the chopped up ones you can buy in grocery stores. Tried these as a tea and they have a musky, earthy, and herbal flavour to it. Not too bad but not something I would drink regularly. While you can use these as a tea, personally I would recommend using them in cooking which is what I believe they are more commonly used for, particularly in chicken soup.
