Dippity-Do Girls With Curls De-Frizz Curl Defining Gel Cream, 4.2 Fl Oz

I was looking for a product that would give my natural hair a firm hold when I do the two strand twist. I saw this at TJMaxx and since it is a product that has clearly stood the test of time, I decided to try it. I also read the reviews. The reviews were kinda mixed with most really liking the product and some felt that it was too drying. It has been my experience that curl creams are moisturizing and this looked as if it would be too. It gave my hair the exact results that I was looking, but I also discovered that it is also drying to my hair as some reviewers mentioned. To remedy the drying aspect of it, I mixed it Camille Rose moisturizing curl cream and that improved the dryness quite a bit. I also tried the Dippity Do Mousse and the results are just as good without the dryness. I have the gel and will try that next. Either way, I love the Dippity Do product line. Overall, great product, great results and so reasonably priced... great combination.

I have natural curly hair and I have used this product for a couple years now. It works great and definitely helps maintain the curl.

Love the scent. Works well with 3a/b curls. Leaves sort of a gel cast on hair but nicely defined curls.

This brand is awesome. I've been trying to find more affordable products for my 3C curls. This product and the gel are now firmly in my spring/summer routine. I live in the southern US for weather reference.This cream is a watery, runny consistency. It drips out of the tube when you open the container. This is very light, yet hydrating. My hair felt very nice with this product after washing and conditioning. I felt like it melted into my hair and gave it that "slip." It smells very nice and goes well with the gel. It dries well and doesn't weigh hair down. I'm happier with this product than I was with many salon brands. I'm so surprised how happy I am with this purchase.I will reccomend this product to my friends and family who have any kind of textured hair. Great for wavy and curly hair. I haven't been excited to find a new brand in a long time, but this is worth the praise! I feel that for the price it's definitely worth trying.

My hair has always been a little confused and varies in range of curl in areas. With this cream and water, it takes my hair from 2a to 2b and 3b without any icky residue or greasiness.

I have 2C curls and this is my holy grail product. I have even tried expensive hair gel ($38 a bottle??? Uh no thanks) but for some reason my hair always turns out the best with THIS product. They used to sell it at Walgreens, but walgreens stopped carrying it online nor in-stores, and I found some article saying the company Dippity-Do had been sold, so i got worried they were going to discontinue the product! I tried 20 other different hair products in search of something that would work just as well for my curls. I ended up with some absolute hair fails and a few okay products but I usually ended up having to use multiple products in order to achieve the look that this gel did all by itself. So then I found this started being sold on amazon (it wasn’t sold on here last year, I checked) and I was so incredibly happy. It may seem silly that I was overjoyed to find that I could get my hair product easily again, because for a while I had tried ordering it from Canada after Walgreens discontinued it. But if you have curly hair, you will know the absolute struggle that comes with it, until you find your holy grail product, that is. I’m not very religious, but I’d still like to thank GOD that this product exists and is now sold on amazon. Please, dippity-do, never stop making this product!! 😭💖

It was alright. Smelt good, I just personally did not like the texture it gave my hair. Also made it quite sticky.
