4L Liters Original Clay Pebbles Hydroponic Expanded Rocks

I had become interested in inorganic media for my orchids since a great deal of my struggle was staving off rot, and I purchased some from a local hydro shop. It was garbage! Hardly wicked moisture, severe layering; a 3 inch tall plastic pot was dessicatingly dry on top with the bottom being completely waterlogged. Needless to say it was bad for my babies, and they tolde very loud and clear. I decided to try again with a more expensive (per L) product and... I am shocked. It performs so much better the old media might as well have been rocks. Truly, quality is far superior to quantity in this regard. A 12-inch vase I was using as a guage managed to get water all the way to the top, no help at all, just pure capillary action. The old product managed about an inch and a half, and since I payed $10 for 10L I think the cheapness speaks for itself. Do yourself a favor and don't make the mistake made: when it comes to expanded clay, more expensive is so unbelievable worth it. Sadly, I do not know what the specific brand of the old stuff was, it was kept in a large unmarked bin at the store. Guess I won't be buying anymore mystery media.

Like the size of pebbles. After opening the secured package, I immediately soak the hydration in water for 5 min. Then quickly rinsed for 3 times. The pebbles are now clean and beautiful. With those hydration pebbles, my watercress have been growing very well.

Great produce for potted indoor or outdoor plants

The clay balls came in various sizes and quite a few were pretty small. That maybe a major turn off for some, but I happened to be repotting my tiny orchid pots, thus small balls did help fill in the gaps between the roots and worked out rather nicely.

ive never bought leca clay before but i think this is working for me?? i watched some youtube vids and learned how to pot an orchid using semi hydroponics. so far so good! i also love how it looks like my plant is sitting in a bowl of coco puffs. the packaging was sketch however...it was like a bag inside of a bag inside of a bag situation, but, hey, it worked! saw some comments about theirs coming with half dust/broken balls, but that was not the case for me. didnt see many broken pieces at all

Exactly as described and pictured, and perfect for my orchids... I have purchased more from the same seller, so that should tell you something. I saw how other reviewers mentioned that you had to wash these for a long time, but I put half the bag in a colender and ran it under the tap in my tub, and they cleaned out pretty quickly. The residue was easy to wash down the drain, and the whole process only took about 5 minutes, max, for half a bag, so no problems there... buy with confidence :)

I have bought this product several times over several years and know what it should look like, but my last order in Feb 2023 is HORRIBLE. You know what? I'll do a video so you can see. I didn't open it right away because I was using up my last batch and if I would've, this would've gone right back. This is super light, super globular, super rough. It feels like styrofoam lava rock. It's really absolute crap and I can't believe I paid for this tbh. In the past, the pebbles are round, red and kind of smooth and slightly rough at the same time. These are dark brown, super light, very rough, and most are not round. I'm putting a plant (telumnia orchid) in the video so you can compare what it SHOULD look like (a last order) in it's pot with the brown absolute garbage I was sent this time. Never again! This looks nothing like the picture, but there was so much dust sticking to the inside of the bag, I did not know it until I opened it last night (and, like I said, I bought this several times before and thought I could trust what I was getting-- BUT NO, you cannot. Go with a different listing!)

be careful. Unfortunately, there is no 4 liters, as I thought. maybe about 2 liters.

Buen producto, aunque el precio es un poco elevado, mantiene varios días la humedad para mis plantas.

4litros parece ser mucha cantidad pero solo alcanza para 2 macetas medianas, las orquídeas estarán cómodas porque guardan bien la humedad pero el precio se siente alto para lo que rinden

Funciona muy bien para hidroponía, solo no olvides limpiarlos antes de usarlos.
