Okay for a brooder, but not for an aviary
I returned this feeder/waterer set, but I don’t want to be too hard on it because my application wasn’t exactly what the manufacturer had in mind. In a brooder for game birds, these products would probably be fine, but in an aviary for exotic finches, they would have looked awfully chintzy. From the online pictures, I knew that this feeder and waterer would be utilitarian rather than decorative, but for the price ($28 for the set), I expected quality comparable to Tupperware. The waterer did turn out to be made of a Tupperware-like material, but without the Tupperware “fit and finish.” The edge of the drinking cup was particularly ragged. The bigger disappointment, though, was that the feeder turned out to be made of something comparable to a disposable plastic spork — thin and fragile, and again rough and uneven in several places where it was carelessly molded. Needless to say, the appearance, and even the color of the feeder didn’t match that of the waterer. To the credit of the vendor (ReptiPro), I’ll add that they did accept a return with no argument, although I did have to pay the return postage.
