As the owner of a BRAND NEW (to me) 2014 Focus ST Iv been going a little crazy getting all the new fun things I need. This car has a little over 100k miles on it and I wanted to find a nice air freshener. Chem Guys make a ton of products with “New Car Smell” and “Leather” being the top 2 selling. amazon reviews general consensus: New car smell - “plastic chemicals 😕” leather - “smells just like new leather! 🤩” JDM - “Smells like soap 😕” I decided to get the 2 pk of new car and leather, and based off reviews I thought the leather would be the best. Leather- Well, Not for this guy. The leather smells like fake leather chemicals to me. Very displeasing to me personally. Not a fan at all. Worst of the three. New car smell - Actually smells decent. I could live with it. Way better than the leather. If you just want “new car smell” and nothing adventurous this one is good. After being disappointed by leather and feeling “okay” with new car smell, I decided to round back and order JDM. Sure I can live with “new car smell” but im in a STAGE 1-2 MODDED 350hp wastegate PSHHHing fwd 2.0 TURBSKI spooling RALLY CAR. JDM- Imagine, its 9:30pm on a friday and you are at Daikoku PA. You walk amongst legends. Neon lights. Wastegates. Subs. Anime Waifu wraps. You connect with a cutie, and she likes your ST. She wants to go get late night ramen. She hops in the passenger. She takes a sniff and disheartenment fills her face. She looks up at you with disappointment in her eyes. She says “..really?…new car smell?” She opens the door and walks away. This is where JDM comes in. The smell of JDM is the smell of daikoku pa @ 9:30 pm on a friday night in a bottle. The smell of good times and happiness. The smell of a cutie in your passenger seat. Youre welcome anon.

Fragrance is stron but does the job removing odour.

I’ve been using Chemical Guys JDM Squash Scent for a few months now and just picked up my 3rd bottle… that should tell you how much I like it! The scent is fresh and clean, kind of a citrus/lemon vibe that’s not overpowering but definitely noticeable. Every time someone gets into my car, the first thing they say is how good it smells and I love that 😁. A little goes a long way, and it keeps my car feeling fresh and inviting. Definitely my go-to air freshener now.

Love this scent. Smells clean. Don't care that it doesn't smell like "black squash" it still smells fresh. What it's supposed to do. And it doesn't last a long time either. But a lot of that had to do with the funk in your car. I carry tools as I am a technician by trade. And the smell of oil is always in my Jeep. I took everything out. Cleaned my enterior well. Now the smell stays about 5-7 days. Love the product. Not like the dashboard fresheners but gets the job done for a fraction of the cost.

This smells absolutely incredible, the scent is strong but not overpowering and in an open space lingers as well as you'd expect but in an enclosed space such as the cabin of a car the smell lingers far longer. It's effective at deoderizing the area while providing a fresh and strong but building aroma which is fantastic. Super ease to use, it's a spray bottle and doesn't get much easier than that. I wouldn't say the aroma is subtle but it's also not an immediate whoa, it does build to a peak, lingers and then tapers off. I'd say no more than three sprays for a sedan and two for a coupe would be sufficient. I honestly love this product and for the price and the amount you get it's a great buy.
