Very useful when working around the yard in blazing heat. I have thin hair and a regular hat gets me sweating way too much. This will cover your neck area so if you do work keeled down, it will help avoid a bad sunburn in the neck.The brim is wide and flexible. i have a huge head (always XL when I buy a hat) and it fits perfectly without using the pull string. Sweat absorbing band around the head too, helps a lot to get you cool. The fabric is thin and won't generate more heat; it wicks the heat away.Just don't be seen wearing this!!

This hat is SUPER lightweight. The brim is large enough to cover my face without inhibiting my view. I wish the neck part were a little wider. It's probably just me, but I feel that it doesn't cover my neck and shoulders enough. Not much bigger, maybe 4 inches.

I bought two of these... one for my husband who is out in the yard with the dogs and piddling all day and one for my contractor who practically shaved his head and is getting sunburned on his scalp. They love these hats!! I even like this hat and will order one for me. They are light on your head and don't cause extra heat because of their weight. They definitely look cool and even better with a pair of sun glasses. The color is almost right on. They definitely keep the sun off and shade your eyes. They have a pull string tie on the back so that any sized head can fit, even the big head! Every man should have one if he's working outside, mowing the grass, playing, hiking, gardening, filling bird feeders or just piddling outside in the yard!! Love it!! And you can't beat the price... arrived as advertised, in two days!!! The other men in my life are getting these as stocking stuffers for Christmas... The quality is excellent!! Update: They guys are going nuts... I have had to order a total of five of these hats as the men in my circle see them and then want one too. They do look good on them and they love how functional they are, protection from the sun, the band that ensures a great fit on any head, and how the hats are a good light weight that doesn't heat up their heads.... They are wearing them everywhere...what a fashion statement.
