Lime Crime Unicorn Full Coverage Hair Dye, Mochi (Lavender)

I am a huge fan of the unicorn lime crime line (it’s the only thing I trust to fade out of my hair without leaving major staining) and this was my first time trying mochi! I didn’t see many reviews so I thought I would leave one for anyone who was curious how it fairs compared to the other colors they offer. Overall the color went over my hair beautifully as this purple but eventually faded to a blue (similar to cloud) after just two washes, which I didn’t hate! It’s been about 2 months and the people is almost all faded out to this light blue/silverish color and I’m contemplating buying another jar just to touch it up because I got so many compliments and felt cute with it! :)

I applied the entire bottle thoroughly to my hair, using professional tools and techniques, and let it sit for 45 minutes to make sure it would absorb. When I washed my hair, everything came out. It made absolutely no difference to my color, and did not stick to a single piece of hair, including the white ones. The only think it worked on was wasting my time, wrecking my towels, and wasting my money.

Really like this purple/grey color. Dye is full coverage, but you'll have to make sure your hair is nearly platinum for this color.

I thought I had found my dream hair dye. It didn’t stain my skin anywhere, it smells amazing, and while it was processing I loved the color it “appeared” to be. But an hour later after the wash my ends were an ugly blue and my roots were not even colored. I bleached my hair before I dyed it and I knew the new growth would be darker but to not take any color at all?? It was definitely light enough to take color. So I dyed it again and let it sit for two hours this time, I got a darker version of the blue on my ends and purple roots. All around the product went on beautifully but the final result was a mess, the color was nothing like the box it’s not even purple!! This blue it came out as is not bad but obviously not what I wanted. I don’t know if I’ll risk buying this brand again after these results. And hopefully I don’t have to live with this color for too long.

This is a review just based on what happened to my hair while I used this product. I have thin straight Asian hair and had it bleached twice prior to a light purple. I bought this product as a touch up after my hair faded. I’ve finished the jar and will say the color that is initially produced from this dye is gorgeous. It’s a very cool purple shade and the initial fade is great. It becomes this light periwinkle color. I left it on for around and hour and it was slightly on the darker side, which is fine. My only issue was when it faded after a couple more washes. This fades pretty quickly (one wash makes a pretty big difference). As I washed my hair a couple more times within the one to two weeks after applying it, it faded to this light green (more on the cooler side) color that wasn’t that pleasant to look at. Great color, just wished it stuck around a little bit longer!

Best dye ever. My to go to now forever. Leave it in your hair all day wash it the next day multiple times with a good shampoo. Stood in my hair for 2-3 months :)

I used it on bleached hair that was nearly white and it still hardly showed up. I have used many brands of hair dye, and this is the weakest one by far. It would be a better idea to mix a stronger hair dye like artic fox with conditioner of you want a muted or pastel color for a better value. Don't waste your money.

Seriously the best fashion dye on the market. I’ve used a lot of their colors but this is my favorite. Comes out to be a nice lavender on pre-bleached hair. Easy to do yourself as well. Love it!
