I was new to using this gu. I don't run ultras but do some 9-20 milers and wanted to try something new. this is easy on my stomach, texture is perfect, and the flavor is amazing. This has become my long run and race go to.

GU Energy Roctane is good energy 'fuel' for hard exercising, is easy on the stomach and seems to help keep my energy level up on my long hilly bicycle rides (15-30 miles, 1000-2000+ feet climbing). The "Roctane" product provides a bit more nutrition than the regular GU Energy Gel (which I also find to be a good product). Also good for my long hilly hiking outings. Both products are easier to digest when working out than energy bars. Great variety of flavor choices too. (No I'm not an elite athlete, just a 70+ guy who gets out for exercise a bit.) P.S., GU partners with TerraCycle to recycle these energy gel packets after use. P.S.2, when opening, you can tear the top tab about 90% and get the gel out that way, keeping the top tab from becoming road, trail or pocket trash; then save the used packets and send to TerraCycle.

I use these gels during long mountain bike or Peloton rides. PROS: -improved performance (better stamina, less muscle fatigue, easier recovery) as compared to days I don’t take them -great flavor -no caffeine as I can’t tolerate it CONS: -sometimes the top rips off completely creating sticky hands. I wish there was a way to ensure the top and the rest of the packaging stayed in one piece. - price is a little high, but worth it for the increase in performance.

It gives good sustained energy. It is not that high in sodium so I must supplement additional sodium. I've been using them for at least 10 years. Flavor is good. It's not too sweet.

I tried GU Roctane during my full marathon, and I was impressed. The taste, consistency, and flavor are pretty much on par with the regular GU, so if you like that, you’ll enjoy this. I felt good throughout the race—better than usual, actually—until the very end, which is saying something! The only difference I noticed compared to regular GU was that the effects seemed a bit delayed. It took a little longer for fatigue to set in throughout the race. Overall, definitely a solid choice for long-distance endurance. No adverse stomach issues throughout. Definitely swallow with water like normal GU.

I am relatively new to distance running so I started experimenting with different energy gels. The GU Roctane Ultra is the one that I like the best. I tried the regular GU but it didn't really seem to give me much of a boost. The Roctane however definitely helps me get through longer runs. It's not like this gives you a huge boost of energy. But if I find myself mildly fatigued and I take one of these, about 10 minutes later I am feeling comfortable again. I take one packet about every 45 minutes. As far as flavor is concerned, that is a very personal choice. I like the Strawberry Kiwi best. But you should try a variety to see what you tolerate.

For a gel, it works great. The flavor is good. It’s smooth.

Perfect for endurance rides. They absorb quickly, provide steady energy, and help maintain consistent power on long climbs and multi-hour sessions. Definitely a must-have for long-distance cycling.

Le goût est top, c'est du gu Roctane que j'utilise pour Marathon et semi. Ça me permet de tenir sans problème a condition d'un gel tous les 5 km avant ravitaillement. Sinon pour les sorties longues, c'est top aussi.

A very disappointed shopping experience. I was excited to receive my energy gels for an upcoming sporting event, but unfortunately, the package arrived in a very poor state. Upon opening the box, I discovered that one or more of the energy gels had leaked or burst, spreading their content throughout the packaging and onto other packs. This has caused a significant mess. I have shared 2 photos for reference.

I was hiking the lake superior coastal probably the most challenging trail i have hiked hiking for 4 days 10 hours a day my last day of the hike I felt dehydrated even though I was consuming plenty of water felt fain and lost my energy still with klm to go my friend offered me this gel energy pack I removed in about 15 and finished the hike I highly recommend it it works it truly does this product really pulled me through to the end will never go hiking without it
