Great dark brown pens. Better than sepia from major brands
I purchased the sepia set a year ago and Ive been using the fine liners to mark fabric for embroidery and other random things.I hadn’t really used the rest of the pens for sketching until today (almost a year after buying) and am pleased to find that they are all still juicy and functional. There are two pens that are just labeled “S” and “XS” that are amazing. I dont know what they are but theyre similar to brush tip pens but go much finer.I plan to purchase another set in black. I love the sepia. It reminds me a bit of natural walnut ink.

Good artist pens
I love that there’s so many different sizes. They work great. I bought a second set because I loosed them so much.

SEPIA color I like....BUT missing one brush pen in set
The sepia color is hard to accurately reproduce in the ads, apparently, but the ad photo above with the vase of flowers showing framed sepia ink drawings on the wall has the nearest to actual ink color, I believe. It is a mid dark grayed-Brown Sepia - not orange or sanguine as some other pens have. This traditional Sepia color ink is very like Staedtler's pigment liner ink. Glad to see Bianyo's entry into this ink color with such a nice set of pen tip sizes.Ink did not smear and did not reactivate when wet, so it works for my drawings. Only time will tell if there is any problem with fading, but they are off to a good start.****Would have rated higher but for missing pen. That's unacceptable and decreased the value.Have not used them long enough to have another reason to be unhappy with what I received EXCEPT for a pen missing from the set - the largest tip brush pen BM! The brush tip BS is a bit stiff, but will likely relax with use.

no one has done a test of these vs sakura microns so i have come to save the day
it honestly depends on what you're using them for, both sets have their strengths and weaknesses, but it depends on what you're looking for!!the bianyo brush tips are stiffer compared to microns, but i personally prefer this for lineart as i feel it's easier to control, but if you're looking to use them for calligraphy, it may not give you the flexibility you want.they are also lighter in colour and are more warm toned in comparison to the sepia/brown microns (note: microns have both sepia and brown variations apparently, i have no idea which kind i have since it's been years since i bought them ...)if you want a darker brown tone, then id suggest microns, but i prefer more subtle light coloured lineart so again, this wins in my book : )the most surprising thing was that these hold up better to markers in comparison to the microns somehow... i rubbed multiple layers on the bianyo side in the water based markers test and it wouldn't budge at all, while the micron smudged to hell and back -- if you're using it for markers, these are actually better!haven't tested these on watercolour since i dont own any, but considering they held up better to water based markers, they'll probably be fine with those as wellthe one drawback is if you have very thin paper, these bleed more than microns do, but if you're using multimedia or thicker, then you'll be fine. They don't bleed that much anyway, but you can see some dots on the back side.(also the plastic casing of the pen is speckled with black and silver glitter which is lovely 10/10)

These write & draw well. I like the brown color and the variety of tip sizes.

Ink is pale …-(no more…edited review)
This is an edit to my original review. I originally bought the 9 pc Sepia Set. I see those aren’t sold like that now. After leaving the first review, someone from the company contacted me. They offered a refund and a replacement set of their newest version. I had to wait until they were done with production, but communication was great. I got the new set a few days ago. This set is a 12pc.-.005/.01/.02/.03/.04/.05/.08/1/Small brush/Medium brush/Small Calligraphy/Medium Calligraphy. I’ve just finished testing them. I love the new ones. The color IS different. They are more of an actual sepia/dark brown tone than the first batch. The ink is fully saturated in every size pen. Much better than the original set. I’m not a professional artist, but I do like to use these types of pens in my artwork. Customer service was awesome. I really appreciate them taking the time to make things right.(Original review was for three stars.)I’m not sure if it’s the brown color, the ink or the nibs, but these pens do not have the same saturation and quality of a different brand I own with black ink. You can see that the smaller the nib the lighter the ink. It should be thinner lines, not extremely lighter ink. They just seem dry.

Some are dry, go not mark good.
Require marking over several times to be dark enough, which can be difficult with the really fine ones. Some are good, some are dry.
