It is a very good size, and it features a zipper on the back so you can remove the stuffing and wash it more safely.

This is a great teddy bear, especially for the price. It's about 4 ft tall, as you can see in the pictures. (I am 5'6" btw). That being said it's not an easy gift for someone, unless you want to make them spend a couple hours pulling stuffing out and fluffing it up. You could, of course, do that yourself though. The bear comes vacuum packed so it's a small package and it comes out very limp and lumpy. There is a zipper on the back. I had to pull the stuffing out anyway to wash the bear ( I just threw it in the washer and dryer on low heat) and the stuffing fills one of the big boxes in the picture. But after you pull it apart and fluff it up, the stuffing fills three boxes and is plenty to stuff the bear. The bear also has a very heavy head and lighter torso so don't expect the bear to sit up on its own without support. I did not have any problems with loose threads or tears or weird smells like some of the other reviews have said. It has also been a couple weeks since I have had this bear and it has not had any problems. Overall, it's great for the price since most large stuffed animals cost hundreds. But I did take off one star because it does take some work (about 1.5 hours) to pull out the stuffing and fluff it up and then stuff it back in. It is not as easy as the instruction booklet says to just "take out the stuff and put it back, adjust the position of the stuff"

I got this for my 11 year old grandson and it was fun beyond words!!!! The packaging really makes opening this gift an epic celebration. I let my grandson open all the layers: first the heavy duty taped red bag with sweet white hearts which revealed another clear bag where you could see the bears face (cutest bear face EVER) and body all squished into a flattened rectangle shape. When you start to open the clear bag the bear begins to expand! WOW! The bear is a huge, soft and limp. I had bought three 20 oz. bags of Poly Fiber Fill in case we might need to add so legs and neck wouldn't be limp. Thought I would need to open and re-sew at seams to add Poly Fiber but the bear has a built-in zipper in back so you can do this! My grandson had the most fun EVER stuffing the bear with TWO bags of fiber fill. Now the bear was HUGE!!!! THE PEOPLE WHO CREATED THIS REALLY KNEW HOW TO BRING JOY INTO A PERSONS LIFE AND I CAN'T THANK THEM ENOUGH FOR THIS INCREDIBLE GIFT!!!!! I you want to surprise someone who you love with all your heart, this is the gift for you!!!!!! A+. FIVE STARS!
