Some of the words were unfamiliar with me so I had to search for meanings. Not hard... and I wrote my own definitions in the book.... but no search engine in the woods... GREAT BOOK... I do Recommend..... But Read to see if you reading comprehension is better than mine! If so Great!! If not.... Fix it before trekking into the woods...

If you've never dressed or butchered a deer this book will enable you to do a satisfactory job. If you're dressed dozens the book should present tips you'll find useful. Like, "Hmmm. That sounds like a great idea. Wonder why I never thought about doing it that way?!" The book is not expensive. It's small enough to slip into a pocket or backpack. It reads easily enough for a young teen about to embark on his or her first deer hunt and if they are lucky and bag a deer, they'll be able to do the important part..... proper cleaning and preparation for the dinner table. I've hunted since the 60's and found the book interesting and useful.

Just bought and read this book. Its been a few yrs since I hunted and wanted to refresh my memory, this one made it easy and understandable.Def recommend it to new or experienced hunters looking to teach there kids or someone new to the sport.

Good for a new hunter

Simple eazy to read and very understandable language. Great illustration.

Purchased this book for my 16 year old daughter to carry with her when we go bow hunting. It's compact in size so it doesn't take up much room in her pack. It takes a direct approach with the illustrations and descriptions. Exactly what I was hoping for. I would make this purchase again.

Nice book, well laid out and has numerous tips for all hunters. Never to old to refresh, learn or adjust your methods.... no one knows it all. However this is a perfect reference for a new to hunting individual to have you started and moving in the right direction.

I am not an avid hunter, but this book really helped me grasp the basics.
