Excellent: I Bought Two—Only Needed One
I love the orange color, and the 35L size is perfect. It’s lightweight, versatile, and works equally well for the gym, travel, and everyday use. It holds A TON. Dont think this is small at all. I dodnt know what 35L was when I first ordered. Its perfect for gym and travel as I mentioned. Pack it empty in your suitcase for an additional "on the go " bag when you arrive at the beach, cruise, trail, or Europe walking tour. Use it anytime anywhere. The orange is great as a safety color, too. Someone is less likely to swipe a color that stands out AND you can spot it quickly and easily too! I’ve used mine daily for well over a year and have had zero issues. The quality and durability have really impressed me. I actually bought two because I wanted a backup in case the quality didn’t hold up. Well, here I am more than a year later, and I still have the original “backup” sitting unused! Great bag, great size, and excellent value. 5 stars.

5 stars for the pack and customer service
This is an update to my last review. Venture Pal responded immediately with concern about the poor quality of the fuchsia pack. Customer Service is excellent. They stand behind their product. My pack was replaced within a few days. I took the new pack with me for two weeks to Europe. It was used everyday as a day bag and packed full as my carrry on for the plane. This bag holds a lot of stuff. The zippers are easy open easy close. Lots of pockets. My husband took his Venture Pal pack and it continues to hold up without problems. Anyone looking for a light weight pack should give this pack a try. They stand behind their product with great customer service. My original review - The bad: After I packed the pack for the first time, I lifted it with the lift tab at the top and it came detatched from the pack. It must have been barely stitched, because the stitches appeared to be intact. I decided I can live without the little lift thingy. However, when we got to our destination, I noticed the right shoulder was beginning to come loose from the seam. It's an inexpensive bag, but I thought it should last more that a weekend. The good: this little bag holds lots of stuff. The pack is perfect to carry everything I need for a casual 3 day weekend. The zippers work well. It folds up into its own pouch which makes it convent to carry in a suitcase or other bag. Except for the minor defects in mine, it's exactly as described in other reviews. I purchased a black one for my husband and he is very happy. 5 stars for his pack!!! He was also able to pack everything he needed for a casual 3day weekend in his pack. I have returned mine, but am reordering with the hopes the defects in mine were just a fluke.

Tried and true backpack for travel and hiking
I bought this backpack to take on a cruise in 2022. Since then, I've started using it for hiking as well as it holds everything I need for a day hike and it's water resistant and not nearly as heavy as my daypack. I'm not sure it holds 35L, but it holds what I need. I've been taking it on flights as well as my "under the seat" personal item. It fits under the seat nicely, although I never have it stuffed full - usually my purse and camera. I've carried my DSLR and a zoom lens in there, which are kind of heavy, and I've never had any issues with straps tearing. I do agree that it would nice if the straps were a bit padded because it's not comfortable with a heavy load, however, I doubt that it would be foldable and that is a nice feature to have. It started out as my travel backpack and now it's my for everything backpack. I've used it a lot over the last three years and I highly recommend it. FYI...I don't do reviews as soon as I receive an item - I try them out first. This is a keeper.

Light, compact, comfortable backpack!
This backpack got me through a fairly intense hiking around Phoenix, AZ. I carried it on my back for about 12 hours one day, and I have to say it was pretty darn comfortable. Carried like 5 powerade bottles, a spare water bottle, a camera, pants, and a hoodie, with plenty of room to spare. I probably would've been weighed down before it got overburdened. It has a pretty thin profile too, which was helpful when my back was against a steep wall. I liked the mesh pockets on either side; I just kept switching out powerade bottles. The backpack felt really secure with the check strap buckled. It never really got in my way or felt loose other than when I had my body tilted at an angle and it started to slide, but even then it only budged a bit and didn't change my weight too much. The fact that it easily folds up into its own pocket was very useful, as I only took a "personal item" sized bag with me on this trip and it didn't take up much room within. There are a few tears that did develop at the bottom due to the real rough ordeal I put it through, so we'll see how that lifetime warranty is. I'll probably update and add or subtract a star based on how that's handled. Overall I'm pretty happy with this thing though! Update: The company promptly responded to my inquiry about the lifetime warranty and I was able to order a free replacement. It should be here in a couple days and I foresee no issues with it so I'm bumping my rating up to 5 stars for the service. I'll of course update if anything goes amiss.

Perfect Complement for Day Trip when vacationing
I want to start by saying that I love this backpack. It's a simple backpack, but does the job well I just returned from a 20 day trip to Peruvian Andes where I took a 70L Osprey hiking backpack, a Northface computer backpack and this folding backpack. This backpack was perfect when I wanted to walk around town, Incan ruins etc and didn't want to carry my larger bulkier gear. What works? 1. It fold up into a small footprint that can be easily stowed in either larger bag I had 2. it has the ability to carry two tall Gatorade bottles with straps to keep them from falling out. 3. I could carry a Northface puffy jacket in a cinch sack and still had room for other items 4. Inside pockets / dividers that keep things in their place. What this pack isn't: 1. Do not plan on carry heavy things for long distances. This pack is not designed for you to hiking up and down mountains. It's not designed for shifting gear and lateral movement. 2. The shoulder straps are not designed for heavy loads. If you want a pack with padded straps, this is not the right gear for you. All in all, I was very happy with the pack. It'll bring it with me on future trips when I need something light and convenient to carry stuff for errands, museum trips or easy sightseeing.

Get this pack!
These backpacks are very durable and great for hiking and travel! They hold a 40 oz water bottle on the side, and are very spacious on the inside. The 2 pockets on the front are great for smaller items. Our backpacks have been on so many trips and are still going strong! I highly recommend!

Nice day pack for travelling
First, you have to understand that this bag is probably not a great choice for daily use. Its unstructured and made of what I would describe as "windbreaker material". Its thin nylon. But for me, that's what makes it 5 stars. I use this as a day pack while travelling. It holds a water bottle, rain jacket, small first aid kit, phone charger, and souvenirs collected along the way. Then it packs flat or into its own pocket for the trip home, or maybe serves as an extra carry on if I bought too many of those souvenirs. It is very sturdy for what it is though. It has double zippers that can be locked together with a small biner. Its a very nice size and has external water bottle pockets. So maybe not for every day carry, but perfect for the occasional use on vacation as it fold flat, is very light and has the features needed to do the job. Would definitely recommend.

Lightweight, packs up small into a neat package, lots of pockets and well organized!!
Venture Pal Ultralight Lightweight Packable Foldable Travel Camping Hiking Outdoor Sports Backpack Daypack (Orange) So I bought this for a cruise to the Caribbean and didn't want a pack that was going to take up a lot of space in my luggage, but wanted something small to carry in case I bought something, needed a jacket, towel, bottles of water (or beer) and this fit the bill. SO, for my basic needs, this perfectly fit the bill. Now I do a lot of long distance hiking and camping, and you WILL NOT be happy if that is what you are trying to do with this. It doesn't have much in the way of back support, you really can't pack a weekends worth of hiking gear and sleeping stuff into this pack. While it does have nice shoulder straps with a clip/webbing to hold the straps together across your chest, it is too light and flexible to really stand up the packing a lot of stuff and supporting it and supporting the load while hiking a long distance. But if you were doing that, you would have packed your bag at home, picked a sturdier backpack with supports and you couldn't fold it up and take it with you in a package about the size of 2 paperback books. On the other hand, if you are looking for a daypack that compacts down nicely into a small package and use it when you get to your destination, I haven't seen a better option. It will carry a lot of stuff and is pretty durable as a daypack. It isn't waterproof, and its only slightly water resistant. If you are in a downpour, some of your stuff will get soaked, but that happens in "regular" backpacks all the time also. The bright orange color was great for us because when we went swimming or wanted to see it, it was very visible and I felt if someone were going to try to take off with it, they wouldn't get far without someone noticing. The material is a light nylon, probably not very durable if you drag it along the ground or catch it on stuff, but sturdy enough if you are just walking and carrying "soft good". I think a sharp item would punch through this eventually, and you probably can't carry a case of glass bottles, but I had probably 20 lbs of "soft goods" in there and it worked just fine. So take it for what it is and for about twenty something dollars it served its purpose. Email me with questions. I didn't get a discount and wasn't asked to do a favorable review, but thought I would give some insight for a good product. All in all a good purchase and it served it purpose and I will take it on vacation with us wherever we go. If you've got questions We went on a cruise and I fit 6 towels for the beach, 4 cans of Angry Orchard, plus my Cruise ID and my cell phone, and other stuff, sunscreen, lip gloss, contact lens solution, brush, hair stuff for my wife, and there were lots of little places we could have put other things, but just didn't utilize. It kept everything nicely organized.

Can be useful
We use this when we travel especially on our cruise. We put this in a beach bag on outings and if we need more bag space because we bought too much, lol its right there. Not heavy to carry can be a bit on the bigger side when folded but not so bad. The quality is pretty good and it will last as long as it last. Now i have it in the car in case i need extra bags. oh and its great backpack, frees up the arms to carry other stuff or take pictures.
