Ostrichpillow Eye Mask 3D Sleep Mask, 100% Blackout Pressure-Free, Washable

OMG, these are so comfortable and tons of room for your eyes and lashes! Soft, molded, light blocking and comfortable! When I put them on there are no buckles on the back, just velcro and the light was totally blocked out, no pressure on the face and no pressure on the eyes. Yes, they are molded, but the material is firm but sturdy. Lightweight! THIS is worth the $40-something price! Exactly what I was looking for. When Brookstone was around, they had a soft, cup-type eye mask, but this one is lighter and better than what I remember. If you're one of those ladies with the lashes, then I think this might be a good bet!!!

Extremely comfortable, best sleep mask so far. So light and soft, can barely tell you have it on. Even sleeping on the side it still blocks the light. Plenty of eye room. Very impressed with this sleep mask

It failed to fit my face comfortably - pressure around my eyes is great for keeping light out, but not comfortable. Plus, I’m a side-sleeper, and the thickness on the sides at the temples is equally uncomfortable.

I have tried a variety of face masks. From beads to fluff to foam, and none have helped with the “Core Challenges of Face Masks” which I list below with commentary on this mask specifically:1. Eye ComfortThis mask is incredibly comfortable. It does not push on the eyes, touch the eye lashes, or make itself known when doing activities like meditation, OBE’s, or Lucid Dreaming.The eye holes are the perfect size for my head and face shape.2. Ear and “Head Muscle” ComfortThis mask doesn’t cause pain around the space between my ears and head (no rubbing, no bulky bands). This mask doesn’t SQUEEZE THE LIFE OUT OF MY HEAD to get to absolute darkness and cause headaches.3. DarknessThese things get DARK. I put them on in the middle of the day in a very sunny room and no light peaks through. No little holes, no aura. It is COMPLETELY DARK. Honestly, the darkness mask I’ve ever worn.4. Aesthetic/DesignI wouldn’t be surprised embarrassed to wear these in public on a plane.5. No Unnecessary BSStraight to the point, they focused on what matters for a mask. No Bluetooth (because why does EVERYTHING need Bluetooth) or gadgets that you don’t need for sleep.- - -I’m incredibly satisfied.

This mask checked all the boxes I was looking for: narrow elastic band, full eye coverage, and recessed eye cups.Unlike most other masks, I was able to situate the band behind my ears. Most bands are too big or bulky and have to go over the ear and thus cause prolonged pressure on my ear and waking up mid-sleep due to the discomfort.The eye coverage on this was good. Might not block out 100% of the light based your unique face, but it blocked enough for me to be considered effective.The recessed eye cups are were things started to go wrong for me. The mask rested high on my face and I felt the lip of the mask on my eyes/eyelids. It's like the mask was either a bit too small to fit correctly, or my face just doesn't work for this mask. I wore the mask for a couple weeks hoping I would get accustomed to the new feel, but each night I would wake up mid-sleep and the mask was pushed up onto my forehead. There was never any discomfort, but at that point there was also zero eye coverage.While it didn't work out for me, someone with different preferences, different face shape, etc. this has the potential to be a great mask.

After many years, I have tested more than 10 eye masks in different shapes, and different prices. Even though this one is one of the most expensive, I have to acknowledge that this one is the best for someone who wants 100% darkness without any question. For example, this mask is perfect for mediation and palming. Also, this eye mask is suitable for a traveler who wants to sleep in a bright light situation like airplane. Comparing to other face masks:1-The structure of this face mask is perfect, because as you see, the cushion of the mask is made of soft foam, which can stay on your face for a long time2-This eye mask is really ergonomic because the foam of the cushion is very soft and flexible. After a few minutes, it becomes like a part of your face, and you do not even feel it.3-Why, comparing to other eye masks, this eye mask can block 100% of the light? The answer is simple, because the cushion of the mask covers all around your eyes, and stretches to your face sides completely. As a result, no light can penetrate inside. Other eye masks have a loose cushion, which partly cover your eyes, and of course partly block the light.4-This eye mask may not be suitable for a side sleeper, and should be put on and see how it works5-This eye mask has a robust structure and material, and after wearing for a long time, it does not move or even rotate at all.6-This face mask is like a 3D face mask, and you may wide open, or move your eyes while relaxing7-And here is the most important advantage of this mask, which elevate this mask to a higher level: Although this mask is very expensive, I have to say it blocks truly 100% of the light. Unlivable! Why I repeat this factor because most of the face masks say they are total darkness, but in reality they are not, even more, after wearing 2-3 times, they loose their stability! What I have not seen in this face mask at all.

Construction appears to be well made, materials appear to be of good quality. Mask is comfortable for back sleeping but uncomfortable for side sleeping. The cushion around the eyes although soft enough when laying on the back exerts pressure on the outer edge of the eye socket when side sleeping, producing an uncomfortable sensation akin to wearing swim goggles.

I’m not a big fan of travel pillows because they usually don’t feel right. Either too big, too small, weird shape, too hard or soft, and they all usually make me feel sweaty. I got this recommended by the New York Times and I’m so glad I did.Broke it in on a nearly 24 hour stint from Dallas to Bangkok (via Doha, Qatar) and the results were impressive. Very sorry to the touch but firm enough to hold my neck in place. I wore some large headphones which were a little inconvenient at one point due to the pillow raising too high, but moving it around a bit fixed this. Pillow remained cool for the trip. I posted this with their eye mask and I was in my cocoon and able to sleep for about 6 hours (which is a miracle for someone like me, 6.1 220 pounds traveling in economy.Only downside I’d say is it is quite bulky to store, so I won’t take it with me everywhere, but definitely a must have for longer flights.

I had very high hopes for this mask after reading spending (probably bought?) reviews across quite some media. It does not provide a full-blackout experience to be honest, it lasts still some light through the nose. Material dents in the middle awkwardly, and also is OK. Overall, it's OK considering the price. Might go back to a silk mask though. Also, I ordered directly from the brand and they were a nightmare, do not recommend to venture into this decision outside amazon.further update: material of the cover does not really stand the test of time couple months in. reducing a star further

Great product, super comfortable and really does blackout, not the cheapest product on the market but the quality is fantastic and well worth the price. 100% recommend.

Only mask that truly lives up to it's claims. I travel frequently and work Air Ambulance, and need to sleep / nap when it permits. This product is indeed expensive but if you can take the plunge, it's the absolute end point in sleeping masks. Comfy, and freakishly a complete and utter blackout!! But isn't that what we want? Just do it and buy it. You won't be disappointed!
