Solid discs. LightScribe still works — if you’ve got the drive for it.
I bought this 10-pack because I still use an old LightScribe external drive for labeling home videos and mixes. Short version: these discs do what they’re supposed to — hold data, burn at 16x, and take a LightScribe label without looking like a toddler scribbled on them. What I liked: Burns reliably in my external LG drive at 8–16x (I usually stick to 8x for fewer errors). LightScribe contrast is good on every color in the pack — gold, red, blue, purple, green all produced readable labels. Takes a few minutes per label, but they look professional. No visible wobble or warping; the drive reads them fine the day after burning and in my old DVD player. Cases are decent and keep discs from getting scratched. What I didn’t love: LightScribe drives are rare now, so this feature only matters if you already own one. Labeling takes time — plan for 5–8 minutes per disc depending on your image/drive. If you’re strictly after cheap storage, you can find cheaper blank DVDs, but Verbatim’s quality feels worth it for archives or gifts. Real-world use: I burned family videos and a few data backups. Playback was smooth. I also used LightScribe to make discs for friends — they actually thought I’d gone out and bought printed labels. Small flex. Who this is for: People with a LightScribe drive who want decent-looking labeled discs. Anyone doing long-term physical backups or making discs to hand to someone. Not worth it if you don’t care about labels — generic discs will save you a few bucks.

LightScribe are quality discs
Ripped home movies and burning copies. The two darker discs are fine for media but they have to be burned two times to make them legible. I'll stick with the original s from now on.
