I recently upgraded my TR 50 Umerex 11 joules to 13 joules, and these pepper balls still fly true. I was wondering if they could take the extra power, and they do well. You hit somebody with one of these they should retreat. My first two shots in my TR 50 has two of these, and if they don’t stop the perpetrator, the next four are devastater rounds. Split a coconut and half people. but these pepper balls do as advertised.

The product is a good one and will re-order again. BUT........if you get a package in which it appears that one or more balls have been squished and burst, don't open the package, just send it back for replacement. If you DO open it, even if you get a tiny amount of the powder on your hands, WASH THEM THOROUGHLY before going pee. If you don't wash your hands THOROUGHLY, you will regret it within minutes. Brings to mind that song by Jerry Lee Lewis, Great Balls of Fire. Nuff' said.....

So I did a Real Test... by Accident! After a 2 Years Shelf life. I shot the rounds into a cardboard box placed against the wall outside my garage. I approached closely and gave a gentle sniff. I felt the sting and walked away pleased. I left the box outside and went back to work in my garage. >>> THEN... after an hour, I started to clean up. I picked up "this box" that was outside my garage and then realized what I had used it for, too late ;-) While there was no visible residue on the box and my hands, the reaction was STRONG and IMMEDIATE! Getting hot by this in the chest will be tough if you are on the receiving end.

I'm really not qualified to review these, because I haven't shot one yet. The instructions and description leave me a little confused. Descriptions say they'll you don't have to see the person to use them that they have a range of 15 ft where they will affect the subject. So I wrote If I use these in the house well I get gas also. Never got an answer. They say the range is from 3 ft to 50 ft . 11, so I'm confused if you're 3 ft away are you safe or do you have to be 15 ft away.
