Johnstone's Woodcare Indoor Wood Varnish Satin - Clear 750ml

Have used previously on internal oak doors and was happy to use again. It dries very quickly allowing several coats in one day but you need to work fast. Gives mid-sheen finish, but more coats deepen shine. Will not darken the wood significantly, so if you want the richness of an oil this may not suit you. We wanted a lighter finish so was spot on. Seals the wood and can easily be touched in if required. One door that was accidentally scratched now looks perfect again. Seems durable, used on wood over ten years ago and the finish is still perfect.

Easy to apply and easy to clean up brushes.

Very easy to use. Gives a natural finish to oak.

Fast delivery. The clear varnish has low odour and relatively short drying time, however you need at least three coats to get the desired good final result. I had to apply 5 coats on my untreated table to get the shiny effect that I like for my table. The brush can be washed by cold tap water after each use.
