I am a Naturopathic Physician and often recommend coffee enemas for certain clients. There is some history with these enemas but Dr. Max Gerson, MD, popularized it for detoxification. I believe this is because of all the pathways of detox, the route of the liver into the gall bladder and finally out the intestines are most important. The trash can of the body is our gall bladder. Those for whom I recommend this enema would have the following symptoms; can't digest fats, frontal headaches since this area above the eyes is the end point of the gall bladder meridian, constipation, stools which are light in color (bile is primarily that makes our stools dark) and stools that float since the undigested or unabsorbed fat stays in the stool, thus it floats. What I like most about this unit is the following. Likely you have found a comfortable place to lie down (bathroom floor), and you have inserted the speculum and opened the clamp, now you can raise and lower the bucket to adjust the flow rate. With the bucket raised, when you feel a slight contraction of the rectum, lower the bucket. You don't need to clamp it. You can raise and lower it through the entire process. Yes, there is some regurgitation as the rectum contracts, so some backflow of coffee back into the bucket... so what, no harm done and you will clean it after. Obviously then I don't recommend any enema system that has any kind of pump action. Thank you to those who are providing this system.

The bucket is very well made. Go9d quality. The tubing doesn't stay in place , it disconnects during the enema. You get a splash of c9ffee all over. NOT good. I want to replace the silicone tubing, but the company is not accessible. Not even Amazon can get in touch with Smokitcen customer service.. It is a shame because the product is high quality,, but the engineering of the tubing needs to be corrected.. By the way. There is no refund. I bought a different enema kit and hope it will work for a long time.

I wish I could give this zero stars it is truly the worst Coffey and I’m a bucket I have ever tried. It’s major design flaw is not only is it too small it’s smaller than the normal size but also it’s got a flat handle which sits on a round hook when you put something flat on something round it is in congruent and results in a very tippy situation so what happens is the handle moves around on the hook and swings and rocks back-and-forth no matter how careful you are and it spills the liquid out onto the floor beneath. The other major problem with this kit is that the hose is way too short. I normally hang my bucket from the shower Curtain rod and lie down on the floor to administer however I cannot do this with this kit because the hose is way too short which results in the need to do strange gymnastics or yoga poses while standing up and trying to insert an object up one’s posterior which is most unpleasant and uncomfortable and if not impossible I will be demanding a refund and a return and I urge and I repeat I enjoy all possible customers to steer clear of this item I purchased two other ones off of Amazon that were larger and had a proper handle and a proper length hose. I’m having difficulty finding them but if I have to pay twice as much money for one that works and suits my needs. I will do so very unhappy with the situation.
