Premium build quality Z-Wave light switch!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I didn't see any reviews for this item, but being a Prime customer, it never hurts to jump in, thanks to Amazon's return policy. Summary, I'm glad I did.1) It is quite elegant up on the wall, the chamfered polished edges of the aluminium bezel give it a really nice touch of class.2) the gesture ability is very impressive tech! ie. you put your finger on it and then you realise you wanted to turn not gang 1 on but gang 2, all you do is slide across to gang 2 before letting go and bobs your uncle.3) you have a choice of dimly lit circles when all lights are off or glowing circles, quite nice in a dark hallway at night, makes the hallway feel alive along with my Nest Protect on the ceiling which also does the glowing light thing.4) it does require a neutral wire so you can only really use it in modern houses or try and get a neutral through the wall to it, in our case we've had new wiring done throughout so this was not an issue.5) there are curved indentations on the actual switch, which is a great advantage as one can feel the button areas unlike countless touch switches, a well thought-out functional design feature for the sight-impaired, coupled with the gesture ability it all comes together perfectly.6) the circles are blue in colour, and once the switch is turned on, the round circle for that chosen light goes bright white. My only negative at this stage is that we are awaiting the company to implement OpenHAB integration, once that is done I'll update the review with full stars (edit: OpenHAB support added!). Though it will work with countless consumer grade zwave setups such as Smartthings and Vera etc., so if you have one of those consumer setups in the house and need some persuasion, yes I definitely recommend this switch, personally I do not believe there is anything else with the features this provides out there at this time, it also does scenes too, which I cannot test at this time due to waiting for OpenHAB support, but again I will update this review as soon as the support for OpenHAB goes live.Highly recommended product, quality comes at a price, the price of this product is justified indeed.ps. This company does have great support, their english is solid so no language barrier issues whatsoever and they are quite proud of their products thus take all matters very seriously. Nice to see far-eastern companies of great customer support standards for a change.UPDATE: WORKING WITH OPENHAB 2.5.1-2+The device and manufacturer are now in the OpenHAB database, switch works beautifully!NOTE:Please do note that one does need to follow the instructions closely to pair the switch with a smart gateway hub or zwave-usb-stick successfully. It took us a few attempts, got there in the end. I would highly recommend getting in touch with CoolTouch support via the 'contact' option if one has problems before assuming the error is on part of the switch itself (would be unfortunate if you like the appearance+functionality of the switch yet give up on it because you are unable to pair it). Once it is paired, job is well and truly done, it will remain paired until one chooses to manually unpair.Video of running product by our electrician attached as promised. Please excuse the unsightly appearance of the wall, DIY refurbishment takes time as we all know. We will add another video once freshly plastered and painted.

Does not work with Fibaro Home Center Lite Gateway
(Note: I moved this review from a comment I added to another review to make it more visible for anyone who is interested).I have been unable to Z-Wave include the switch with a Fibaro Home Center Lite gateway 2 metres away in clear line of sight.I suspect the instructions in the installation leaflet that comes with the switch are wrong (or prehaps the Z-Wave radio in the switch is not a Euro frequency version?)(1) Switch light on - yep easily done(2) Long press light switch for 8 seconds until white light pulses fairly quickly - yep(3) Press the light switch 3 times in a second - I suspect you would have to be a robot to achieve 3 presses in 1 second ;-)I tried other permutations - 3 presses with 1 second gap but that just resulted in the light switching off.The switch itself does look pretty cool with the blue circular light around the switch when off but I bought it to integrate with other Fibaro scenes that I have written rather than just be a fancier looking switch.I have emailed the company but had no response.Update: I have decided to give up with this switch. As someone else has pointed out, the aesthetics of the switch are not as good as they could have been (the faceplate is not that slim and the bottom section with the Cooltouch logo could have been more subtle). However my main reason is an inability to use this with a Fibaro hub/gateway.Anyway I have ordered a Vitrum Wireless (Z-Wave) switch which is stupidly expensive in the UK (it costs 4 times what the Cooltouch single gang switch does) but the aesthetics and build quality are better (which you would expect for the price). Hopefully the Z-Wave inclusion functionality works with that switch.

Can't get it to connect to my Z-Wave network
The product itself is nice looking and easy to install. The only downside is that I can't get it to connect to my Z-Wave network. I've tried everything about 100 times but nothing. I've even gone and bought another Z-Wave usb dongle as I thought that might be the fault (even though my other Z-Wave devices work fine with it).The only video online showing how to put the switch into inclusion mode doesn't match the instructions supplied. I've tried to follow the instructions and follow the online video but neither work.At the moment it's a very expensive, albeit fancy looking, dumb switch.

Functional, Aethetics good - but bulky
For those who know and use Zwave. This device requires a neutral wire. Simple live/neutral/load wiring. To pair, set Zwave controller into include-node mode, hold button for 8 seconds until rapid white flash and then tap, rapidly, three times in succession. On/off functionality, but no dimming capability. Aesthetically pleasing, solid feel, loud click on action and rather bulky for when fitting within wall pattress box.

Does not work as a home automation light switch.
The light switch looks amazing and worked correctly as a simple light switch. However, as a home automation light switch it just didn’t work. Using the instructions provided and trying to connect it to a SmartThings hub via the Z-Wave protocol it just didn’t work. There is basically no documentation online so do not buy for home automation. If you want a laugh check out their YouTube product video!
