We have a new young male cat who is very enthusiastic about cleaning up in the litter box. No matter where I put the litter box I would always find lots of litter kicked all over the tile floor. Which needed to be vacuumed up every day. This inexpensive mat and screen has reduced litter on the tile floor by about 99%! When the cat kicks the litter now it bounces off the high sided screen, back into the litter box, or down onto the mat. It is a lot easier to clean the mat once a week and shake all the litter off instead of cleaning the floor every day. The mat and screen seem well made so hopefully they hold up over time. I will update this review in a few months if that changes. My advice is to check the product dimensions and individual screen dimensions carefully. I was under the impression that the screen would go all the way around the litter box size we have. With just a small gap as shown in one of the product pictures, for the size I bought (Extra Large). But it does not. That is ok so far because the high side of the litter box is on the open end. So litter does not easily get kicked over that side. Just be aware that the screens provided DO NOT go all the way around the edge of the mat as you can see in my photo.

My kitten sometimes likes to LAUNCH out of the litter box with the force of 1,000 suns, carrying half of the litter with him. I switched to a larger litter box and added a hex mat to catch the litter, but that only helped so much. Enter: this thing. It's really just a bunch of thin, plastic panels you can fix together how you want, so it's great for putting together a makeshift maze your cat must go through before/after using the litter box. For my cat, it means he has to take his time when entering/leaving his litter box, which drastically reduces how much litter he tracks along with him. It also gives your cat some privacy without needing a closed litter box. Not that cats *need* privacy like we do, but at the very least it's extra comfort knowing you won't accidentally lock eyes with your cat when they're doing their thing. The panels are a little annoying to assemble, but after a satisfying *click* you can be sure it won't come undone. You can get very creative with the configuration, such as putting a panel into place horizontally, which creates a roof that can keep your cat from straight up just jumping over it. I had to make this adaptation as my kitten magically turned into a cat and could literally just look over the wall when standing. You can see what I did in the second pic. I needed to use some tape to attach the panel where a corner piece would not fit, but it worked out very nicely. It also comes with a rubbery mat (the light grey one beneath the black mat in the first pic) which is porous enough to catch litter as well. After a few months, however, I ended up tossing it, as my cat used it as a scratching pad and tore it up.

Occasionally, our cat pees over the already tall litter box edges. This was cheap, easy to assemble, and prevents the pee from spraying on the walls, and buying was better than fabricating something myself. Best of all is the hardwood mallet that was included, imagine all the things you can do with it. Update after using it for about a year: the splash guard works and the mat retains even larger amounts of pee very effectively, but our cat has grown and sprays over the edge of the litter box consistently now. Cleaning this splash guard and especially the mat is a chore that I'd rather not have to do. Now that it is winter, I can't hose it off outside, and the mat takes about a day to dry when I rinse it off in the tub. I am looking for a taller litter box now because I only want to clean one item.

Easy to put together. Keeps litter box area tidy. Quality material and functional. Looks clean and nice. Very happy with this! I was using a giant cardboard box that I had shaped around the litter box and it had begun to smell. This can be easily cleaned and way easier (and much nicer looking) to use than a giant cardboard box.

My cat LOVES this. He hangs out in his cubby! It's in my spare bathroom....Nobody uses it to shower so it's perfect for this setup. He always had an enclosed litter box. He is a big digger and kicker But he is a big boy and he needed a bigger box but nobody made one big enough. I am so glad I found this. It had made a huge difference in containing the cat litter. More importantly He Loves It! Set up is easy. 1. Make sure you push the rods into the clips all the way. This closes the gap a little more. 2. I taped the openings like otuer reviewers suggested. I used duck brand white duct tape I buy on Amazon...I like it because it holds well and is more repositional if you need to get everything straight. 4. I added the door from the top of my old litter box to make a half enclosed front... 5. I use the Lishine Interlocking Rubber Floor Tiles Drainage Mat I bought on Amazon..it had holes in it and the litter falls into it..onto a tray underneath... This left a little gap on the bottom so I added self adhesive weather stripping I also bought on Amazon. It's called Tarose Weather stripping... 6. The mat that comes with the unit is great.. The nubby mat I have I also bought on Amazon..really catches so much litter that he can track onto my wood floors.. Is it over kill...No because the mess is gone! He is happier with a bigger box and it's easy to clean. WIN WIN FOR US!

One of our cats has IBS and unfortunately this means multiple runny high velocity poops a day on bad days. This wraps nicely around our large litter tray, was easy to put together and is easy to wipe down when an accident takes place. Would recommend.

I have not found this mat to be water proof though. They privacy screen is good.

This was a great buy. I had it saved for months. I decided it was time to buy it after my large bodied cat went off the back side of the litter box accidentally. This is perfect, it was easy to put together - clear instructions and tools provided. I enjoy a tidy litter area and this really is the perfect touch to help satisfy that need. My cats barely noticed it there and it’s business as usual. Happy mom, happy cats!

Ich habe den Spritzschutz als Trennwand zwischen den beiden Katzentoiletten gekauft und um zu vermeiden, dass sich der Inhalt der Toilette völlig unkontrolliert verbreitet. Beide meiner Katzen scherren gerne noch ausgiebig in der Toilette rum, nachdem sie ihr Geschäft gemacht haben. 😅 Gerne hätte ich mir die Woche noch einen zweiten gekauft, aber als ich die Preiserhöhung gesehen habe, habe ich mich dagegen entschieden. Ich habe im November für 39,90 € gekauft und soll jetzt 60,00 € zahlen?! Das ist Wucher und absolut nicht zu rechtfertigen. Der Schutz erfüllt seinen Zweck und ich bin zufrieden, aber dass die Produktionskosten für so ein Teil relativ gering sind, kann man sich auch denken. Sehr schade.
