The street-worth design was a result of Triple Eight's innovative "Design or Die" challenge. Balloon Robot was created as part of Triple Eight's groundbreaking Design or Die open design challenge. The company enlisted a community of creatives from around the world to design, collaborate, and vote on designs. Of the more than 170 entries, Balloon Robot, designed by Llereni Medina of Chicago, IL, emerged as a favorite. So Triple Eight decided to produce it and contribute a portion of proceeds to this up and coming designer. Triple Eight's renowned Brainsaver rubber helmet is one of the toughest multi-impact helmets available. A patented Sweatsaver liner helps eliminate the smells, stinging, and eye blurring that occurs from sweat, while moisture-wicking layers quickly remove sweat and anti-bacterial treatment virtually eliminates smell. The 360-degree, wraparound design means there's no liner separation from your head. Terrycloth construction is soft against the skin, as well.
