The Peg tooth design features a uniform pattern of cutting teeth. It has no dedicated raker teeth and as such is the easiest pattern to sharpen and maintain. Historically, the Peg tooth pattern dominated before more specialized patterns were developed. It is often preferred by sawyers who want a versatile saw that is easily maintained. This Two-Man Log Saw is ideal for cutting medium to large size logs and timbers. It will cut both green and seasoned wood. The blade is 47" long with 2 teeth per inch that cut on the push as well as on the pull stroke. Overall length is about 52". The blade is 4-3/4" wide at the widest part in the middle tapering to about 3" at either side. Comes with a pair of wooden handles that fits into steel sockets (friction fit) at both ends. Made in Germany.
