I’ve been using the TapeManBlue clear transfer tape with grid for vinyl for about a month, primarily for crafting decals and signage using a Cricut machine. I’ve worked with several brands of transfer tape, and this one stands out for its clarity, tack level, and grid alignment. The 12" x 100' roll is generous and cost-effective, especially for frequent crafters. The printed grid is a major plus — it makes aligning vinyl designs much easier, especially when working with text or layered graphics. The tape itself is made from a transparent embossed polypropylene film, which gives excellent visibility during application. The medium-to-high tack adhesive is strong enough to lift most types of vinyl (permanent, removable, and printable), but it still releases cleanly without leaving residue. I’ve used it on glass, wood, plastic, and metal surfaces with consistent results. It’s not suitable for glitter, holographic, or heat transfer vinyl, so keep that in mind if your projects involve specialty materialsciteturn7search18. One standout feature is how easy it is to unroll and cut — it doesn’t curl or stick to itself excessively, which saves time and frustration. I’ve reused sections for small projects, and while it’s not marketed as reusable, it held up surprisingly well for a second round. The tape is made in the USA, and the quality reflects that — no weird chemical smell, no inconsistent adhesive spots, and the roll feels sturdy. It’s also shipped quickly and comes well-packaged. Bottom line: If you’re looking for a reliable transfer tape with a grid for precision vinyl work, TapeManBlue delivers. It’s ideal for both beginners and experienced crafters who want clean transfers and easy alignment.

This transfer take is much better than the Cricut tape. It holds the stencil well while the backing is peeled but releases easily when you peel it off after the stencil is installed.

This 12” x 100’ roll of clear transfer tape is an absolute must-have for any Cricut crafter! I’ve used it on both permanent and removable vinyl, and it picks up vinyl like a champ without any fuss. The best part? It releases from the craft surface just as easily, making my projects smooth and frustration-free. The alignment grid is a lifesaver—especially for those of us who need a little extra guidance when working on larger projects or precise decals. Made in America, it’s sturdy and reliable, and you can feel the quality in the material. The one tiny drawback: there’s no backing on the tape, so be careful when cutting it. It tends to fold onto itself, and no one wants a sticky mess to untangle! With a little extra care, though, this transfer tape works great for all your vinyl needs. Would I recommend it? Absolutely! Just be mindful of that fold-and-stick potential, and you’ll be golden.

As transfer tape goes, this tape does the job as expected. The tackiness is sufficient to lift the vinyl and transfer to the surface and then release easily. The price is great compared to Cricut brand, but keep in mind two major differences and then decide how important those are: 1) the grid is much bigger - 1” instead of 1/2” ; 2) there is no backing on this tape so it unwinds off the roll with the sticky surface exposed. Other main brands have a paper backing that you peel off before using. If you are using the transfer tape right away, it’s not a problem, but you also can’t re-use the tape as easily. Overall, I am pleased with this transfer tape and would buy it again.

great product, sticky and easy to work with. Just don't apply crazy pressure when you stick your vinyl to it, just the necessary pressure. Would definitely recommend.
