Very useful for your lovely pet
Very useful for your lovely pet! All what's on description is right. I didn't use screws just double tape for back door to backyard where is located my puppy. It took a week to train her to use pet door bell. I have receiver plugged upstairs in house in electric outlet. My 3 months old frenchie makes me happy every time she comes to door using nose to ring the bell and patiently sitting near door for me to open it. How I did it ? I put treat on top of bell and every time she touched it and it rang I opened door and manually put her out. No matter if she needed or not. Called her back and repeated it again and again. Next step I knew it will be time for her to go out . I stayed in room and waited for her to ring . I didn't give her any eye contact . She rang and I ran with smiles and good girl hand sign to open door. Of course I have her a treat! Transmitter lights up ( what I noticed while is on- nice surprise) my puppy is deaf she can't hear the music but she could see lights . This is what I really was looking for!!!! ( I didn't mention if you see signs for your puppy to go out try to make her him to ring before open door) money was worth to spend on this!!! Thank you so much to prime for fast shipping !

Works great, but I wish there was a kit with two pet transmitters
I like this product, it works just as it should with a couple nice features to boot. I use it solely as a dog bell and previously had hanging "jingle bells" that I abandoned because they clanged whenever the door was moved and they were wearing the paint off the door. I found this to be a much better solution. I like the fact that the pet transmitter has a delay so that after it rings once it can't be activated again immediately for about 10 seconds. This keeps the thing from ringing over and over while I'm making my way to the door. I've had it outside now for several months exposed to the weather without issue or battery replacement. Learning the system was easier for my dog than the bells which she never quite got perfected ( I think because they rang whenever the kids came through door). I do wish they had a kit with a receiver and two pet transmitters (instead of one pet and one human transmitter). After buying the first kit and mounting the transmitter outside I wanted one for the other side of the door so I could get the "I want to go out" notification the same way as the "I want to come in" notification; unfortunately, the only way I could get another pet transmitter was to buy a whole separate kit. I was able to program the both pet transmitters (one from the first kit and one from the second kit) to the same receiver each with its own ring so I can tell if the dog want's go out or come in by the sound of the ring.

changed our minds about our review!
I must remove the negative comment I made about this product. We were contacted immediately afterwards by the manufacturer with a clear explanation of our problem. It seems our dog was ringing it too many times and it is in a power saving mode. They told us how to fix it. It is really a good product after all, and we were pleased with the prompt response.

If you don’t want to know that your house is haunted don’t buy this
Well everything works properly, there are a ton of different tones to choose from as well as a few sound levels. I’ve had it for a few days now have been trying to work with my dog. So far so good. Except today... I have the dog part next to my door on the wall which There are 2 sets of stairs one going up and one going down. To reach my bedroom I have to pass by it and since having it plugged in I’ve never had it go off while I pass by it or anyone in my home pass by it. I actually checked it and my dog or I have to touch the thing to make the Bell go off. Anyways today I have my dog press the button the Bell goes off I let her out. I go back into my game room upstairs. Then all of a sudden I hear the Bell go off. I didn’t think anything at first because I have a second dog(one of which I hadn’t shown the button to press to make the Bell go off and me open the door) so I walk back to my stairs and he’s just laying at the top of the stairs. I chalked it up to him going down there hitting the button on accident or chance sniffing around then going back up the stairs and laying down. So I open the door let him outside then I go back to the game room a second time. I start my show back up and bam “Hey Jude” starts chiming. So I unplugged the responder and am never using it again. There’s absolutely no way that there’s an Interference as I’ve said it’s been plugged in for days and not once has it gone off from just walking past it.

I have to admit it's pretty awesome, BUT the sensor does not work 100% ...
Our lab learned how to use this very quickly - within a few days - with a few treats! I have to admit it's pretty awesome, BUT the sensor does not work 100% of the time, and then sometimes it goes off randomly without anything touching it. I feel bad knowing that our pup is using her new bell trying to ask to come inside and we have no idea because it's not working sometimes! Other than that, I think I would still buy again. It does work the majority of the time and it has definitely helped her to not jump on the door, which was my intention in the first place.

Nice idea. Poor quality.
If I were rating this item on the first two months of having it, I would have given it five stars. Unfortunately, it only lasted a couple weeks past that. This is advertised as an indoor/outdoor use product, but it doesn't stand up to even light outdoor use. The slightest bit of moisture causes it to malfunction, and it eventually stopped working altogether. We got a grand total of three months out of it. Definitely not worth the money. On the upside, it has a lot of cool tones to choose from & it was really easy to train our dog to use. We really wanted to love it but just ended up disappointed.

It worked for a little bit
Update. It didn't last long. I tried to get an extra receiver and the communication with the seller was poor. I'm looking into getting my money back. I ordered another from a different company. I don't want to wait any more. I love the variety of tones and volumes. The round one is easily activated and easy to train the dog to use. The push button one is a waste though. I really need a second round one for the other door. I'm hoping to contact them and switch it.
