fan spins for a sec when i turn my computer on then stops why is this defective model?

I think the fans don't spin until there underload to save power ,if they are not spinning while you're playing games then you have a problem.

Will this work with an amd fx 6300?

I am using it with the FX 6300, and so far so good, 2 weeks in.

Is this as powerful as the g1 gaming and what is the fps difference?

G1 gaming is slightly faster, 1847 vs 1797MHz, but I don't think that is going to improve the FPS rate.
