The best 4x6 printer you can buy at this price range
I have had the printer and printed 20 pictures with it already. Let me first say the picture quality is perfectly acceptable for this price and as an amateur photographer I love it. More than love it actually, the print quality is as-good-as if not better than Walmart and CVS prints. The colors are accurate. The fine details are there and not smudged. There's no weird effects on the images from an AI or other algorithms that you can't turn off. You can print exactly what the picture is, no hidden enhancements, only those you choose in the app willingly. This is important - the Kodak Dock Plus has image processing that cannot be turned off and makes the images look way over sharp and creates those borders around edges you'll hate. This printer does not do that. It prints as expected. I'm very happy to see that all the fine thin details are crisp and clear, such as those bothersome hairs you can't comb back. They print and look good, just like the picture on a screen, no white edges or mis-aligned colors. No blurriness. I was specifically looking for accurate true reproduction of fine edged details, this printer delivers that. Colors are rich and vibrant, and more importantly, accurately rendered. The Kodak printer was brightening my photos and increasing saturation without my say-so. This printer gives me prints with colors that look just like the real thing. The app works well, is easy, and has effects and editing tools you may enjoy. However, this important bit of advice for Android users: you have to turn off your mobile data before you connect to the printer's WiFi. Otherwise the app will tell you the printer cannot be found! This is because Android by default will reroute all network calls to whichever connection type has active internet access. Obviously the printer is not a source of the internet. The printer is not going to be found as connected to the internet. I tried the Kodak Dock Plus before this. The Kodak prints much poorer in quality, smudging fine details, and with terrible color accuracy due to a variety of issues. I returned that to try this one, and boy am I happy I did! Did I mention you can print with your PC with this one but not with the Kodak? Yeah, they didn't list that fact for the Kodak and that's a problem for me. This printer has a much wider range of devices that will work with it. For the price, you're getting a really good amateur printer. You'll need to quadruple your budget for the next level up, so if you're primarily an amateur photographer that wants 4x6 prints done yourself, this is the printer to get.

good quality prints on the go
what is so special about this photo you may ask? let me tell you: this is a photo from a Thermal printer that I got to do prints on the go without needing external WiFi. in the description says "fingerprint proof, waterproof, anti-oxidation, and non-yellowing" but is missing scratch resistant. this photo was in the back of my BF's Subaru for idk how long, bouncing around with stuff on top that would have destroyed any other photo, or even paper, and when I pulled it out to inspect it, it only had a little smidge on it that came off with no issues or residue left behind. still has a nice glossy look to it as well. another cool feature about this printer is I have a little power inverter ($25+ tax at harbor freight) that I was able to use to print a photo in my car (with it running for full battery power) with no issues, hiccups and printed perfectly easy to set up, easy to use, the print quality is amazing and the photos are pretty tough. a little expensive to start (a little over $100) but after that it's $40 for extra paper and cartridges. This is based off of MY personal use of this item and how awesome it is. there is NO endorsement going on, no one is getting paid.

Awesome little photo printer
After two beloved pets passed away a week apart from each other, I found myself wishing I had an easier way of printing pictures from my phone. Uploading/downloading from various cloud based applications was becoming tedious, not to mention having to send them somewhere to be printed. I decided to look here on Amazon for a photo printer. I knew I didn’t want the super small 3x2 size. I looked into various brands and happened upon this Liene printer. After reading the many positive reviews, I was willing to give it a try. After some use, I’m adding my own review to the mix. It is a fantastic little printer!! 1) The price point is more than reasonable when compared with other brands. After the initial purchase, and considering the price of the paper/cartridge refills, at roughly $.48 a picture, it is also much more cost effective than having them printed at a retailer (in my experience). 2) It’s oh so easy to set up and get going! I was able to connect to my iPhone in just a few steps. It is Wi-Fi based, not Bluetooth, just fyi. 3) The print quality is really good! I was so impressed that such a nice looking picture came out of a small, portable printer. 4) Small footprint. The printer takes up very little space on my desk. The paper cartridge can be removed from the front of the printer and stored on top of it. It has magnets, so it doesn’t slide around on top. The Liene printer has been an absolute pleasure to have and use. The convenience of printing right from my phone, along with the quality of the pictures it produces, have me 100% a satisfied customer.

Bought 3 Years Ago Today
I bought the Leine printer precisely 3 years ago today. I've never had a single problem with it. I figured it was time to review it. I'm an amateur photographer. I shoot digital with my mirrorless Sony A7R5, and 35mm with a variety of vintage glass and cameras. I've been a photographer for 40+ years now. I started printing my own photos when inkjet printers first came out. I still own an HP 4 x 6 photosmart printer that's almost 20 years old, and discontinued years ago. The problem with inkjet is the initial cost of ink, and the waste; it dries out, and you go through a lot of ink to clean the jets, let alone to print high resolution. For the most part, 4 x 6 is a good size for my prints. I have thousands of photos. If I want a larger color print, I'll order it. Otherwise, I can print black and white photos on my laser printer. It's much cheaper in the long run to use thermal dye sublimation. The ink is in sheets that look like colored cellophane. It ever dries out and there are no jets to get clogged. The printer lays 3 separate colors while printing, which is interesting to watch. The ink is instantly dry, and it's archival. The printer does have a tendency to print a tad darker than what I see in Photoshop. This is correctable through calibration, and each computer/device will be different. In fact, I have 2 new laptops, so this may not even occur anymore. I've simply tweaked my photos a tad on the old laptop; as a result, I get beautifully sharp, true color rendering. The printer is wifi, creating its own wifi hotspot. You simply go to your Wi-Fi settings and connect your device to "Leine". It's a good solid connection that has never dropped. Each photo is fed 3x, but I find it plenty fast. I've never wasted a cartridge, or paper. It prints every time. The tray of paper stores magnetically on the top of the printer, which is great and makes it very portable. It saves space and it never gets lost. I bought a small hard case to store the printer; I recommend you do this. You'll find a good variety of cases meant for the Leine printer here on Amazon. I think mine cost around $20. The Leine printer has been a good investment for me. I can control the prints. When you order prints, they simply print what you order, never looking at the centering, sizing, or quality. The last time I ordered several 4x6 prints, 1/2 were unusable. I build acoustic guitars, and restore historical Guitars. The prints were to display some of my past work at a guitar show. I will never order prints again. I know there are a couple of choices for 4x6 color printers today. I'm very happy with the Leine printer.
