My default B.O. is pretty instense and this has been my go-to for the last couple of years. No alluminum or strong scent and elimates armpit B.O. for 1-2 days. It's a little chalky / pasty at first and will show if you get it on the exterior of dark clothing, but it doesn't show or bleed through dark clothes otherwise. The sticks are soft and get used up pretty quickly, and can clump a little on underarm hair. Still really effective.

This is going to sound like a damned shill, but I almost NEVER write product reviews because they are usually not worth the time. I'm writing this one because this deodrant shcoked me. I've been using Degree "heat activated" white stick type deodrant since the 1990s. Right through my military service, fatherhood, and now in to my current middle age grey-beard era. While it worked, I started to notice it was getting weaker over the last few years.. heavy focus on fragrance with almost no sweat or real deodorizing capabilities. My wife had tried a bunch of the safer deodorants (no heavy metals, etc) but they didn't work for squat. Annoyed, I bought 2 sticks of this stuff about a week and a half ago for my son and I to try. I was drawn to it being a safer deodorant, but was leery about it working or keeping me dry. Its now day 4 or 5 wearing this stuff (I apply it at night right after I get out of the shower) and it STAYS ACTIVE ALL DANG DAY. No sweat, no overpowering crappy fragrance like the Degree stuff I was trying to get away from. Pros: It works. Packaging looks like something my grandma would buy, but it keeps you dry and odor free for a long time. It says it works for 2 days, but I shower daily and I'm not planning to stretch it out. Cons: Kinda pricey. It works really well and it's not made with aluminum, but geez it's expensive. If they can work on the cost a bit, I'll switch over my entire family (its a big family).

I love this deodorant. I've been using it for a couple years now. I get no irritation at all. it helps a little with sweat but I know all natural deodorants are not the greatest at that. It does help with odors, though! I've tried a few natural deodorants in the past and this one is the best.

Let's start off by saying I must have some sort of glandular problem. I sweat easily & profusely, and without antiperspirant, I can't even stand my own stench by the end of a calm day sitting in the office. My armpits will literally smell like rotting onions! Due to this, I've always sought out the most potent anti-persperents I could find, which until now was the Degree 48-Hour protection. In an effort to live a healthier life, I recently began a new hunt for an anit-persperent that was aluminum-free. I've been trying Schmidt's brand for about two weeks now and have been very impressed! I realize it's a bold claim, but I feel that it outperforms the big name brand Degree stick that I'd previously used! And, when I shower, it wipes off much easier than the Degree stuff, which required literal sanding of my armpits with a scratchy cloth to remove the film! What to expect: -Size: The product is smaller than a regular stick of anti-persperent. I didn't even think to check the size when I ordered. I was initially disappointed, but it works so well, I'm sticking with this product. And, I sort of like the size now, especially for my travel bag. -Application: Goes on a bit like a thick sticky grease. I initially assumed that it would be mushy and bother me the rest of the day, like other brands, it did not. -Smell: Has a charcoal style smell that I only notice the moment I put it on. Otherwise, it seems very neutral, which I prefer as it has just a touch of manliness (a bit of nostalgia from camping as a boy) but not overwhelming. So far, I've been through a handful of strenuously sweaty workouts, and it holds up better than the Degree sticks!

I recently tried Schmidt’s Charcoal & Magnesium deodorant and overall had a good experience. The scent is very nice — clean and not overpowering — and it definitely keeps you feeling fresh throughout the day. It applies smoothly, but I did notice it can leave a bit of white residue, so you may want to be careful when putting on darker clothing. One downside is that the stick didn’t last a full month for me, which is something to consider for the price. If you’re looking for a natural deodorant that smells great and provides reliable daily freshness, this is a solid option — just be prepared to replace it a little sooner than expected.

As someone who struggles with excessive sweating, I have always been disappointed with natural deodorants. They never fully eliminated body odor. This deodorant absolutely does the job. I have used it for months and no longer have to worry if I will smell or not. The reason that it is only getting 3 stars and not 5 is because it will absolutely get on your clothes. All of my clothes end up with significant residue on them. Overall, if you do not mind the residue and are looking for a natural deodorant that actually works, this is the product for you.

Charcoal & Magnesium - My all time favorite. Bad BO runs in my family. It’s the only one we can wear that works! It smells fresh, clean does not dry out your pits. I have very sensitive skin and it does not irritate my skin. I love that it is aluminum free. I wish it was a little cheaper and cost less. It’s also very hard to find. I use to buy it at Walmart and other similar stores, but now none of them carry the charcoal & Magnesium one. Make sure when you use it to hold it to your arm put for a few seconds before applying. Your body heat softens it so it goes on easier. It can leave some grayish color to clothing and skin, but it’s worth it!!
