Q: my set has dropped the link to Freeplay. Apps show but do not connect when icon clicked on. Also lost start from beginning option

The apps not running when the icon is clicked on happens to me quite frequently. I have to navigate to the top of screen then right to settings. Select 'device preferences' then scroll to the bottom option 'reboot'. I always need to go through this routine twice before the apps work. Not sure about Freeview although you could perhaps try making sure Freeview source (again on the top menu and right a few options) is selected then retune the channels.

Q: what is distance between feet on 32 inch stand?

Because they are angled, they are 17 inches apart in front and 11 inches apart behind the TV.

Q: Is this tv definitely 1080p? Have seen a 32 inch bravia with the same model number that's only 720p

While it can accept 1080p signal, the display is actually only 1366x768, per Sony’s specifications.
