Exact replacements and easy to change. Unless you are hard on these and break them, they rarely fail, but it is nice to have on hand. Stainless would be better for those afraid of plastics, but price and minimal contact don't justify the difference. Those with a Berkey Light can have a cheap backup with no problems.

These work pretty good the only con is the water flow is a little slow but the plastic material feels very good quality and it's easy to clean and easy to install and since it's not metal it's rust resistant so that's a plus!

I've been using Brita pitchers and alike for a while, and a couple of months ago, the handle on my pitcher snapped off. I always dread going about replacing things like this. I was worried about potential issues like leaks or poor compatibility with having to replace the spout. However, I decided to give this product a try. For the money spent, these two spout replacements for my pitcher have been fabulous. I haven't needed the second replacement. AND having a backup gives me peace of mind I will not go without my filtered water. After over two months of use, its’ use has been fantastic for both me and my grandpa. The handle is sturdy, there is no leaking, and it fits perfectly with this type of Brita pitcher. I’d also recommend using Amazon Basics for the replacement filters. Highly recommend.

Installed it on the side of a wheelie bin I'm using to store rain water off the shed. Works really well - no leaks. Can flip up the tap so the water flows continously when filling up a bucket.
