Sonoran Depravation

I had been listening to these guys on Youtube a whole bunch and was really digging their sound. I caught them opening for Dying Fetus at The Machineshop (an awesome venue in Flint, Michigan to see bands!). Talked to a couple guys from the band afterwards. Both were very friendly and talkative. I told them how they reminded me of some of my old skool favorite death metal bands like Obituary. Drummer confessed to the Florida pioneers as being a big influence.

Love me some gatecreeper!! Saw them play live... kicked ass. If you like death metal you will like these dudes. Sent me the yellow vinyl while in the description it said it was the pink and royal blue merge, so I was a little disappointed at Amazon for not updating the description but the music is on point

Caught these guys in Grand Rapids on Saturday with Incantation and their set was great. I also received the latest pressing(yellow) and not blue/pink like the description says.

It's not because I was born and live in Tucson, AZ and Gatecreeper are from here but this album is in your face death metal. Good riffs! Good music! Finally, a death metal band from Tucson who will represent our city in a good death metal way!!!

Probably my favorite new death metal band this album is just badass great band too the riffs are all just so catchy

Relapse records has been putting some great new death metal lately.

This is Old School death metal, done very competently. In the vein of old Entombed, with a dash of Bolt Thrower, or Obituary. The core is definitely early 90's Stockholm.

Gatecreeper does Swedish death metal right.

Really amazing death metal band from this new generation of headbangers, which can destroy my ears with vigour and crative heavy dirty songs. I recommend this outstanding group for every fan of extreme metal since their music is raw, harsh, sharp and brutal! Very good guitar players, a good bass player, a fast drummer and a vocalist who is screaming and shouting at all songs. Excellently produced by the way.

If you like death metal this belongs in your collection.stunning.

Alors grosse baffe !Découvert via divers Split et EP..le groupe joue déjà dans la cour des grands.Originaires d'Arizona..( le fameux désert Sonoran) ils délivrent un DM ultra lourd à la Entombed,Obituary et consorts... Ça groove, ça accélére parfois... Et on sent ce côté moderne via des relents presque Hardcore par moments..Bref allez y gaiement si vous êtes dans le trip riffs tronçonneuse...Un Split et un nouvel EP sont sortis depuis... toujours aussi vindicatifs !
