I wanted to see how well this wheelchair suited my needs before rating it. We've had the chair now for a few months and used it many times. I'm absolutely delighted with the product. I am retired, 71, and need the chair for my dear wife who suffers with vascular Parkinsonism and its attendent dementia, physical weakness, etc.What I like about the wheelchair:(1) it is lightweight. Not featherlite, but reasonably light; I can lift it into and out of the car trunk with ease.(2) It is sturdy. My sweetheart is 197 lbs but it holds up to her just fine.(3) My wife sits comfortably in it, even though she is full-figured.(4) It's super-easy to put together. The real test was doing it in the rain, adding the footrests. Yeah, I still got wet, but it was quick and easy; didn't fight me at all to get put together.(5) Small back wheels. With her dementia, I wanted wheels that would not allow her to reach and push herself somewhere she shouldn't go.(6) If my wife was writing this, she would mention the color: cobalt blue - her favorite color - which does help to not let the wheelchair feel so institutional.(7) other features: brakes that work several ways (it never dawned on me they would be important when were going down a steep ramp!).Will it last forever? No; but it is the complete package and serving us very well, and when we need a new one, the price is very reasonable and I won't feel badly about getting another one of these. My wife is worth the best and this wheelchair is worth every penny.
