My soap cutter broke mid loaf. I needed a replacement fast. This was the only soap cutter that had all five star reviews. There wasn’t a lot of reviews, but they were all five star. I took a chance and I bought it. I paid a little extra for shipping because I needed it now. When I opened it up, I was completely blown away. It was packed with such care. I’ve never seen anything like it. The corners were braced to prevent it from jostling around in the box. When I unwrapped it, it was sturdy, it was heavy it felt like quality. It only took me a couple of minutes to assemble it. Most of the work was already done. Then I got to work with it. It cut very nicely very smoothly. The guides are easy to use. The markings are clear. There’s centimeters and inches. I would absolutely buy this again, and I would recommend it to anybody. This is a quality item. This is obviously made by a small business, that has integrity, who cares about the product they put out. Thank you and kudos to you.

I purchased this item for second time. My first one gave to my sister as a gift. The package was well packed and delivered on time. Easy to assemble and easy to use. Got consistent result on each cutting. Very pleased on what I ordered.

Can’t recommend this enough. It’s well made. A lovely note included. Came with extra wires and the tool needed. It worked surprisingly well. Love that it has measuring lines on it so the bars are easily made the same size. Easy to make the wire tight for cutting and loose for storage. Major upgrade from my previous cutting setup. Worth every penny. Only thing missing for me is a fabric bag to store it in. Will be making one. Highly recommend this soap cutter.

This is a great product to cut your soap if a specific size/weight are of importance. Cut bars look much nicer than when cut with a knife as I can never cut 100% straight when cutting with a knife. BUT!!! And this is by no means the manufacturer's fault, once I started using it I started getting a bumpy surface on a soap. It's like a myriad of tiny little bubbles on top that make the surface rough. The solution - after cutting, the soap needs to be trimmed by a soap planer. That is a whole different process that makes each bar thinner (as you are taking some of that soap off) and it's time consuming. I tried to cut the same log of soap with this cutter (string) and with a knife and yes, it has those tiny bumps all over the surface when cut with a string and had none when cut with a knife. I searched soap makers forums and found out that the results I was getting when cutting with a string were quite common among soap makers. There are some tips on how to avoid those bumps when string cutting. I tried some of them and it didn't work. So, the last time I was cutting I had to switch to a soap cutter that is like a metal blade with a wood handle. My soap doesn't; look as straight as when cut with this tool. So, it's a tough choice...

I really love my cutter. This is a very nice quality cutter and works very well. It seems to be durable. You can easily assemble as it only took a few screws.

I don’t know what we are doing wrong. Just got it today and have a loaf of melt and pour ready to cut. The cutter itself was easy to assemble, nothing was broken, and it looks nice. The string doesn’t cut all the way through the soap. We played with the tension and have already broken 2 strings. Our loaf of melt and pour Sat for less than 12 hours, so we know it’s not too hard. Should not take this much effort.

I wish I could give this wooden Soap Cutter 10 stars. I’m very impressed with the cutter . It slices through the soap loaf as if it were butter. The slice is straight with no feathering. It holds the loaf of soap straight on a 90 degree angle perfectly. The box has measurements along the edge so that it can be adjusted to cut different sized bars. I chose 1 inch. It arrived by purolator delivery wrapped in side a box with little plastic feet/ corner protectors to keep it from moving inside the box and it arrived before the scheduled delivery date. Setup was easy and the cutting wire came fully assembled on the cutting arm. I did not have to make any adjustments. There are little rubber feet on the bottom of the cutter to keep it from sliding or moving on your countertop. I noticed that every piece of this soap cutter is put together by screws so there is no chance of the glue coming apart a few years from now or when it dries out. There are 10 extra cutting wires included. And a special gift from the seller. This is a very nice soap cutter and I’m very happy with this purchase and I highly recommend.

Worth the money, excellent quality cutter,like a knife through butter

Llegó más o menos en semana y media, muy bien protegido en el empaque y fue muy fácil de armar aparte de que se ve la calidad de las piezas. Ya he cortado jabón de diferentes durezas sin problema, solo no le doy 5 estrellas porque es el primer cortador de este tipo que tengo y no puedo comprarlo con algún otro pero hasta el momento me ha parecido un excelente producto.
