HEPA filtration bags (High Efficiency Particulate Air) are rated to trap 99% of airborne particles including dust, dander, spores, ragweed, common grass pollens etc. I’ve been using these in my Husky central vac for several years. They are a slightly different size than the original, but they fit well in the canister and the collar on the bag makes a tight connection on the inner vacuum tube. My central vac can be used without bags, but I still use them for two reasons: first, it keeps the vacuum filter clean, so my vac always has the same suction it did when it was new. Second, bags simplify maintenance: you simply remove and replace the bag. There’s no mess to clean up and you don’t release a bunch of dust into the room. I’ve purchased these bags twice now and am quite pleased with them.
