These thoughtful palettes have an array of bright colors, are made of a lightweight and durable plastic thats perfect for travel , plein aire or home. I have several which are easily identified to me by its colorful top. Two have watercolor paints, one have gouache and one has acrylics.I love that it holds 18 colors which is not too many choices but more than enough to mix any color I need. There is an extra removable mixing tray which is so useful. The best part of this palette is the versatility it offers because of its size, seal in adaptability and lightweight. I really like this palette. I am fairly new to watercolor and have tried several palettes prior to this one. They were workable except for the fact the paint dried up in the wells or I had to wash it out every each use. Each time I painted, I needed to get paint for the tubes, put it into the wells and then mix as needed. I decided to try this palette and haven’t looked pack. They were workable palette has 18 wells for paint. I think each can fit a pan, but since I use tubes, I am not sure. But, I can load up to 18 colors in the palette, and when I am done I can close the lid, lock it and the paint stays inside. I might have to reactivate a color with some water next time, but I no longer have to reload the colors every time. An added bonus is the removable mixing tray that is big enough to make several mixes or washes at one rime without having them run together. The removable tray is easy to clean, and the wetted paint does not “bead up” like some other plastic trays I have used. The tray did stain the first time I used it, and I can see some light pastel stains, but since then, every time I use it, I can easily clean it with water and a paper towel. It fits my needs perfectly and fits nicely inside my ArtBox paint box.

The Mr. Pen watercolor palette is large! It’s big enough for all of my various paints. It does not leak. It works well for color mixing and is very light weight. I love it~

This compact and portable pallet is great. With sections for 18 colors and large mixing areas what is not to like? I got this for watercolors, and it works perfectly for that. Even though plastic or nylon, it appears it will last a long time. The hinges are designed in such a way that they pivot on pens not just a stressed piece of plastic. Because it’s more economical to use watercolor paints from a tube. This is also a good way to use those paints. Just fill the trays one or two days before you plan to use them to give them enough time to dry out. Then spray them like you would a pallet of half or full pans and you are good to go. Update: after using this for almost a year, I wish that I had purchased the model that is just like this but with a transparent removable mixing tray. I found a YouTube artist with a great strategy for mirroring the content of the wells in an easy to produce swatching approach. Then when you would open the tray, you would see through the transparent piece all of the swatched colors in perfect alignment with the pigments you used. Still a good pallet, but not the best for its size and use.

What a great size paint palette!! The wells are just the right depth - they match the wells that came with my paint set - there's just a LOT MORE of them in this palette. I found that when working on more elaborate projects, I needed more space for my watercolor mixing. This palette is easy to use; it has different spaces for different purposes. I appreciate the high quality - the latch shuts firmly. A dab of water revives paint if needed; so far, no leaks either. It came with a mustache sticker which I, of course, immediately had to put on the front. (Then I realized I can add more stickers. Life is better with stickers.) Great presentation, too - this is a good gift idea for anyone who does a lot of watercolor painting.

Great size, closes easily, holds plenty of paint

This is an AWESOME little palette! It’s compact but still has plenty of room, closes tightly and really does keep even watercolor moist. It’s perfectly portable. I love it and consider it one of my best art supply buys in a long time! Thanks for making a great palette for a great price!

Really good quality for the price. I’ve actually used this for my artisan water mixable oil paint instead of watercolour and have bought another for my w&n gouache. Really nice and lots of space for mixing. Easy to clean and sturdy. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
