E Elegance Shaving Gel

I've been using various brands of shaving gel for more than 40 years. They all have given me better shaves than aerosol foam or big-name chemical goop. I first tried Elegance several years ago and set it aside because it was starkly different from its competitors. This stuff is very viscous (thick) to a point where it requires a bit more prep in application and rinsing. Running out of my "regukar" gel led me to use my set-aside Elegance for a few days. After a few days, I realized that its differences were all vert positive, This stuff gives a close, smooth shave with no irritation, It's menthol is strong and cooling. Yeh, it's a bit more work rinsing your rzor and your face, but it's worth it. It's also, when bought in the large container, about the least expensive gel shave availble.

Thick and gummy, but works like a boss when it comes to preventing irritation. Just remember to add some hot water to thin it out. I use 5 passes when I shave and a glob of this about the size of a jawbreaker does the job!

The first time I ordered the Jupiter scent SHAVE GEL, I was sent the AFTERSHAVE GEL. I was sent something that says Jupiter, Gel, and AFTERSHAVE. None of the pictures in the ad at that time matched what I received. There is a Jupiter SHAVE GEL (what I ordered), but nothing that says AFTERSHAVE (which is what I got the first time). The second time I ordered the exact same item, I did get the SHAVE GEL. Now I know for sure the first one is indeed AFTERSHAVE GEL. The SHAVE GEL is much better. It's very thick and has almost an industrial smell. It doesn't smell like the Aftershave Gel at all. It's good but I still prefer K of S because it's slightly thinner and minty fresh. This stuff is much more fairly priced though. The Aftershave Gel I got the first time I ordered the Shaving Gel is terrible. It's just like hand sanitizer. It's not slippery at all - nothing at all like King of Shaves SHAVING GEL or Edge or any other SHAVING GEL that I've tried. I'm pretty sure they incorrectly sent what is purely meant to be an after-shave product but I really have no idea because the labeling doesn't match anything shown in the ad. The pump is nice once you finally get it unlocked. The Shaving Gel pump unlocked very easily and normally, so I think the first one I was sent (Aftershave Gel) was slightly defective. The Jupiter Aftershave Gel smells good. I just wish it were actually SHAVING GEL. You know, like I ordered the first time. Too bad the Jupiter Shaving Gel doesn't smell the same as the Jupiter Aftershave Gel.

First time I used this gel I thought(like some other reviewers) this stuff is way too thick and gooey, so I set it aside and figured I would just give it away since it wasn’t that expensive…….$8.99 when I purchased this fairly large bottle. A couple weeks later on a whim I wanted to try it again for some reason and I’m really glad I did. This is the stuff professional barbers/hair stylists use for straight shaves and fancy razor hair cuts so that should tell you something. This gel is extremely concentrated, literally cover a finger tip with it(a small coins worth)and it’s enough to do your entire face! You just need to keep adding water to the area you are shaving until you get it to your desired consistency. For the people with extremely sensitive skin this is probably the best protection from the blade you will ever find. I use a Henson safety razor(haven’t tried a multi bladed cart yet) and could literally shave everyday with minimal to no irritation with this gel. I’ve always had to wait a few days to shave again because my face would get so torn up, but not with this stuff. I see the price fluctuates with this stuff like most things on Amazon and even at $20 a bottle this stuff is still worth it since this bottle will last well over a year for most and probably several years for some. Aftershave is optional since this stuff leaves your face nicely moisturized after rinsing it off.

I'm not a fan of shaving creams, except for when they don't work! I was not impressed when I saw the clear contents of this gel. I thought it would take all the bottle's contents for just one shave. I was SOOO wrong. This gel is fabulous. With just a little on my fingertips I can cover my entire face and get a nice, smooth shave. I was worried about the typical razor burn that I get with other gels, but that was not the case with the E Elegance gel. It really goes a long way. In fact, when I was putting it on my face I was almost annoyed that it seemed impossible to get it off my hands. But that's just how well it spreads and adheres to skin. I thought I would not like being able to see the normal lines that one sees with shaving lotions, but that's really not a problem at all. I mean, I'm not in high school anymore and so I can keep up with the areas I've already gone over. I like the fresh meant smell of this product, but I typically end with an application of Noxzema to my face. Still, at least the scents do not combat each other. I highly recommend this product.

Awsome, just like everything more product, more affordable is beter. Can see EXCACTLY wear I shaved before shaving.
