Milton Industries 1020 1/2" Filter

Nice filter made in USA. Used as a pre tank filter after the cooler i installed on my 60g comp. I tapped the existing holes in the top 10-24 without drilling. Made a bracket from some 18 guage and bolted it up. The holes i tapped arent perfect like i wouldn't hang >100# from them. Blue loctite plus some 10-24 socket head screws secure it just fine. I will however add some rubber spacers for vibration dampening.

Milton has always been the best but for some reason here lately the quality control isn’t up to snuff. I ordered this item and the overnight drain was missing the clip that held it in. Also ordered a Milton 1020 with metal bowl and the clip was missing on it as well. The Milton 1018 with metal bowls I ordered had the clips and no problems with them. I reached out to Milton for the clips and haven’t heard any response from them

I got a different brand and the bowl exploded and the drain was cheap. This model has a metal bowl guard , a much better drain and the bowl screws on. Plus Milton tech support is top notch. This model is also much larger and all around better.

I like the Milton brand and have used it for years. It is very easy to install and works well. The outer housing does not look like the item pictured, instead it is a black metal cylinder with the Milton logo. I feel that it looks better than the filter pictured. I prefer this brand over other brands that I have installed for other people in the past. Basically a good filter for the money.
