I have purchased several of this company's alpaca blanket. They are high quality, very warm and soft, and the colors/patterns are beautiful. They come with a rectangular storage bag which makes it handy for camping or travelling or just for storage in warmer months.

Very similar to wool. Soft feel and warm. Great in winter. Used as a lap blanket.

I am not a fan of synthetic blankets. I have always preferred wool. For the last six years I have been using a legacy blanket made of synthetic fiber. Finally, I had enough. I went looking for a wool blanket. Yes, they are heavy and they are a little scratchy but there is something about a wool blanket that is comforting. I found this alpaca wool blanket and decided to buy it. It is wonderful. It is lighter than wool but more than the synthetic blanket. It does not seem scratchy but since it is sandwiched between a sheet and a top cover I don't often come in direct contact with it. It certainly keeps me warm. I don't keep my house very warm in the winter. A good buy.

Seems warm and durable but its only 53% Alpaca wool - and recycled fibers at that. Seems rather expensive for a recycled wool product. Tends to shed as the short fibers are not virgin, long fibers. I'll update in the future regarding how well it wears as Winter sets in.

Heavy and thick. Exactly what I was looking for. I got scammed on the much lauded Poyet Motte blanket, which was so awful I returned it. I had lost hope but reluctantly bought this one. It is great. It is solid, thick, heavy, and warm. It's as soft as can be expected. If you want soft then buy a synthetic fiber blanket. Still my kids think it is soft and cozy. I would gladly pay 20 percent more for the 20 percent more thickness it needs to be the perfect, heavy man blanket I'm after.

I love this blanket. There is very pleasant smell and no where as heavy as other wool blankets. And, this blanket is large. I like it that way. My one problem is that Texas isn’t cold enough to truly enjoy it. My other problem is this blanket leaves fibers everywhere. A lot of them are on my sheets and I find them surrounding my bed. I use lint remover that helps, but there seems to be no end to them. I haven’t sent the blanket for dry cleaning or try to wash it. When I do either, I hope it helps.

This blanket is heavy, but not too heavy. It is soft and, I think, very attractive. It is of more than ample size. I sometimes buy a larger-sized blanket, but am glad I didn't do so in this case. I have not noticed a problem with shedding, as some reviewers have mentioned. And, honestly, I think I have slept better since putting this blanket on my bed. What more can you ask?

After buying few different brands (also expensive exercise) this one delivers in every way - it is large, it is thick and worm and it does not scratch.

Has lots of overhang on either side and foot of our king size bed. Couldn’t have asked for a better blanket. I’m sure it will last for years. Could have definitely asked for a better blanket. This thing malted for a few years and I threw it in the closet. Very annoying blowing animal hair out of your nose every morning…..
