Great Color & Consistency
Second Hand First Love is a really nice color. It’s a neutral that will go with most other colors. It’s not the vibrant pink displayed, but does lean more pink when seen in natural light (outside). Inside, it reads more pinky-beige. Dries fairly quickly. It takes more than 1 minute, but no more than 5 minutes which is drastically quicker than regular polish. The polish I received is fresh - not extremely thin and not thick. It’s the sweet spot in between that goes on very smoothly. Coverage is good. For a lighter color, two coats did the trick. It also has a nice shine. My pictures show only the polish, no top coat. I’ve used Essie Expressive Nail Polish for years and love it.

Nice shade, not overly bright, glittery, quick dry, low odor, recommend it.
Love the shade, good price, good coverage, low odor, easy to use, fast dry time, glitter is nice,

Can't believe how GOOD the formula, wear, and drying time are
Superb quality! Easy application, opaque color, long wearing and super fast drying! I need to order more from this "expressie" line. I'm just now discovering it.

Quick Drying and Rich Color
I HATE painting my nails because I don't have the patience to let them properly dry. I can't remember last time I've painted my nails and didn't have a smudge, dent, or obvious imprint. However, I LOVE painted nails so I usually just pay for gel at the salon. Well I am happy to say I finally found a nail polish that doesnt take 2 years to dry LOL. With two coats you get a very rich hue and it dries in about 5-10 minutes. If you do one coat it dries in about 3-5 minutes but the color and texture won't be as smooth. The shine on it is pretty good as well. I wish it was a little cheaper but given the fast drying, I would probably buy again. I'm going to see how it holds up this week and how it is to remove and come back with an update. *2-WEEK UPDATE * The last two pics are my nails after 2 weeks. As you can see while there is some chipping, as expected after 2 weeks, it still held up quite well. Now here is where I was somewhat disappointed. I did two coats of the polish and a 3rd coat of a clear polish for a top coat. Removing this polish was extremely hard to do with regular nail polish remover. I ended up having to use a remover used for gel nail polish called "Magic Remover" and letting it soak for a few minutes which softened it enough to scrape off with ease, and then used regular nail polish remover to wipe it clean. Given the ultra quick drying and staying power of the nail polish, the less than easy removal process is easy to overlook. If you only do one coat (I don't think the polish looks as smooth and rich in hue with only one coat) perhaps it's easier to remove. Either way, I'll be purchasing again. The fourth pic in pink nails is the "In the Time Zone" color I recently purchased. I'm officially a fan. I wish they would add more colors, maybe even a glitter option, and create a nail polish remover specifically made to remove this nail polish easier.

Very stylish and easy way to get my fall look on!
I have always loved Essie's colors....so I was curious what the quick drying polishes would be like and I have to say no complaints! I am the worst to ask about longevity as I have my hands in water all day and chipping is inevitable but if I'm being careful that week aka gloves while washing dishes and using acetone for my painting of non nails art...I can get about 4 or 5 days with minimum touch ups....another perk of fast drying you can rock the touch ups quick! I have way too many polishes because I'm a crazy person and did nails in a past life and have always been obsessed with nail polish...news flash....it doesnt hurt my feelings like those jeans in the back of my closest that I'm ignoring until they decide to fit me again (hmph!) anyway sorry....polish always makes me feel good! Essie used to have this color called little brown dress that I adored....it was my go to brown and I have not been able to match it to the very old sticky bottle I keep around just to compare (see crazy) I bought the Expresso color in hopes it worked and while its not an exact match it comes close....its very very very dark but is great for fall and winter I have light fair to med skin depending on the season and it seems to look good with my coloring. Its really easy to apply even though I did manicures for a living at one time its still never easy on yourself so easy is better always and I enjoy the brush size and angles. I also have the Taxi yellow color and the grape purple color and the yellow is better for me in the summer or as an accent to another color that goes better with my warmer toned skin but I dig the color and theI grape is nice too though it is not as vibrant as the pics online....I still wear it and may even use a quick drying white as a base if I have time to make the color pop alittle more....all and all I would recommend this product if your want a quick way to look stylish....I'm going to the cargo Khaki green next....I'm excited....there are so little available in this color and I am hoping to get a lot of use out of it....I'll keep you posted.....(sorry in advance LOL) hugs and happy polishing!

Green is different than displayed!
I love Essie's stuff and the quick dry is great. Never had any complaints! Should note: Express To Impress is displayed as a mint/seafoam green, but it is actually a matcha color. (Other reviews show this difference, which is why I got this color, as I prefer the matcha color- it matches my keyboard!)

Check color references on other sites before purchase
The most important thing to know is that the product photo is not correct for the Take a Breakdance color. In general, I like this Expressie formulation of polish for a quick polish job. It doesn't go on as smoothly as a slower-drying polish would and forces you to move very quickly to avoid it drying as your apply. This particular bottle came and the brush-handle is sortof broken, so I don't know if it was a bad seller or what, but it is uncharacteristic for essie. It makes it challenging to apply because the brush head wiggles. I've never had that happen before, so I don't think it's a common problem. It does reduce the usability of the product, though, when it's so hard to apply from a wiggly brush. The biggest issue is probably an Amazon issue, in that the product image is not representative of the actual color. I believe the "All Things OOO" color is shown. The Amazon description DOES mention sandy color, which it was my mistake for not reading the description, I went by the product photo. It is "wrong" beyond "your monitor settings," and I viewed it on several different screens before I ordered. I would say the Take a Breakdance color is Vegas Gold. Without the reference of knowing that CU Boulder's color is Vegas Gold, I wouldn't have known what that color means--it is a yellowish light concealer color, not "gold" like bright yellow. If you're a Buffs fan THIS IS YOUR COLOR. Otherwise I don't really like the color, it's a little bit too far on the yellowish side for my taste.

Nice color and long lasting
this is my first time try this brand. It was really nice color, quick dry and I really like the applicator. Easy to use and it lasted for more than a week for me. The coverage also really good, 2 times or layering is enough for me. Like is thick enough

Inaccurate colour
The performance of the polish is awesome. It dried pretty much instantly and still looks good one day later. But the colour is NOT accurate on the photos. I thought I was getting a brightish raspberry red that would look good on my cool skin. It ended up being like a dark, flat red with a brownish tone to it?! And I can’t return it :(

Needs a top coat for long last
Takes longer to dry than you think but great other wise

expressie is my new fave!
i have always loved essie products so i was really excited to see this quick dry option! i decided to try out the take the espresso colour from the expressie line - and absolutely loved how rich it was & how fast it dried. the best part: 1 coat was fine, but the 2nd coat added the gloss and shine that i love of all essie nail products. i found it very easy to use too. the brush is thick enough that it coated my nails easily and i also enjoyed the colour with one coat. i had my nails done for a week with minimal chipping - so i did rate it high with longevity. this picture is without top coat and i wouldn’t say it applies for a sheer look. this polish is thick and i like that look - i don’t like sheer nails so it was perfect for me. i’m excited to try more colours and really mix up designs next time i paint my nails . ps in terms of time: about 20 seconds flat for nails to dry!
